This is a heartwarming V-day story. For the record, I did not get misty-eyed or have that warm fuzzy feeling when it happened. I was much too tired to feel anything by then. A coworker reported getting goosebumps, to which I responded: "Laaaaaame." Still, it was cute.

A guy and his daughter pick out two cupcakes, but the guy left his wallet in his car, so he and his daughter run back out to get it. The next lady in line decides to pay for his cupcakes with her order. When the guy finally does get back with his wallet, the woman who paid for them had gone on her way, so he decides to pay for the next person in line after him.

Fortunately, they were the only people in the lobby at the time, so the cycle of generosity didn't continue ad nauseam.

That's sweet! Though I disagree on your fortunately! It would have been so awesome if it had gone on for several more orders!

I can't believe I'd never seen Contact.

Eee. I was out today at the mall with fiance, to uhm, look at stuff. I couldn't get the nerve to do that, so instead we went to eat at a restaurant. When we went in, I saw someone I thought I recognized as a friend of sissys. Conversation with fiance.

Me - I think that's sissy's friend!
Fiance - So go say hi.
Me - But what if it's not?
Fiance - Then you say sorry, come sit back down.
Me - Nooo, then I'll be mortified forever.
Fiance - Then I'll go ask if she knows sissy.
Me - Nooooooo.
Fiance - Then you go!

Me - Okie...

Me - Uhm, hi...
Friend - Ah!
Me - It's recoginition of me! Ahhh, I was so worried! (I only said the last part out loud of that, though)
Friend, Me, and Fiance all talk. Was nice.

I did something sociable that normally scares me without being horrible at it! Well, other then uh, the whole coversation before hand. Glee!

Also: I prettified myself today for the purpose of destroying poetry. It was great fun. I am currently swimming in peer criticism and ready to start very-much-needed revisions on my work.

When you're done, read the book. There's a bunch of cool things that didn't make it into the movie, including one of the greatest endings ever. (Plus one kind of lame thing, but it doesn't really affect anything.)
