Hamster, I dub thee Squibbles.

I am terrified of hamsters. Not sure why I got her, as I've been bitten by them in the past. However, she is the sweetest hamster I've ever had the fortune of holding, and doesn't bite. I'm scared to pick her up though. Good thing she loves getting in the exercise ball. wub.gif

So here's to dealing with silly fears.

Hamsters are so awesome. When I was a little girl, I had a hamster I named Bilbo Baggins - it seemed like a perfect name for a hamster! He was so cool! He even lived up to his name one time too, cause he got out of his cage and for a few days was adventuring somewhere in the house. Then, when his adventure was over (when he got hungry, I'm assuming), he just showed back up in the dining room where my dad was putting his lunch together before going to work and he scooped the little guy up and stuck him in his cage in my room. I woke up and there he suddenly was (I didn't know about Dad finding him until later). It was like he just came home after he'd had his fun. Just like Bilbo from the book did. laugh.gif

And hamsters running around in exercise balls are almost too adorable to be allowed. Course, my dad wasn't always a hamster rescuer. He could never pass poor Bilbo in his ball without spinning the thing until poor Bilbo would pee. He thought it was funny! ohmy.gif I was always the one who had to clean that ball though. Bet he wouldn't think it was so funny if he did. laugh.gif I was always kind of amazed Bilbo was willing to get in it, considering the the number of times that he got spun. But, hamsters have tiny brains, so I guess that explains it. laugh.gif

Jem is outrageous. Truly, truly outrageous.

Did anyone else see this show? I was reading a webcomic and it referenced it and I was like "oh what's this." So I googled it on the internet and discovered the hilarious wonder of Jem. And now I think I'm addicted to this new guilty pleasure. As someone who has seen every Barbie movie ever, I can safely say Jem sets feminism back like a thousand years. (I also pity whoever runs the legal system in this Lisa Frank universe.)

Cannot. Stop. Giggling. laugh.gif

(PS: Here be the webcomic. Beware spoilers.)

Food is for chumps. Buy a 24 pack of ramen and some multivitamins.

Got the vitamins, but ramen is just too far away from food for me.

Once in a blue moon, I will watch an anime. Currently I am watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

It's about magical girls.

And not as bad as it sounds. I want to strangle that little rat. Although the shotgun made me laugh out loud. Also someone described it to me as "girls are attacked by the Sayonara, Zetsubou Sensei OP" and I can't stop thinking of that now which also makes me laugh.

EDIT: And I was expecting Mami to be evil but getting her head bitten off by a giant sunflower-clown will do in a pinch.

I just ran out of episodes to watch. It is surprisingly enjoyable.

Taking bets on if/when Madoka will actually become a magical girl or if the title is a complete troll. Also, Inkyubeytor must die.

It's pretty enjoyably dark so far, even coming from the perspective of someone who likes/doesn't mind MG anime. laugh.gif

I was reminded recently how much I love the film Les Choristes/The Chorus. It's a French film, but the subtitles are quite sufficient, and the soundtrack is ridiculously good, complementing the story perfectly. (I cried in a few places.)

Why does Arrested Development have to be so brilliant? biggrin.gif

I agree. I also think that they need to bring back Better off Ted. That was such a good show.

I've begun watching Maria Holic and (finally) the second season of Haruhi Suzumiya No Yuutsu, as well as rewatching Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (all seasons), Kanon (2006), Clannad and the first season of Haruhi Suzumiya No Yuutsu.
