You won't think it's so adorable when you die with a maxed character and lose your verd bow GODDAMNIT

I died as a level 19 wizard, sooo close to getting to level 20 to possibly work on getting different classes god damn it all. But no, I kept playing still. Wizard is still my favorite so far, but I've only played wizard, priest, and archer thus far. I have rogue but my archer's still hanging in there. He'll probably die at level 19, too.

But I play lots of nethack. I'm used to things dying and being gone forever. This game is rather much more forgiving on that front!

Pfft, you can get level 20 in no time. A maxed character is one with top stats: you have to kill Gods (highest mobs, and crazy-dangerous) to get stat pots, and the drop rate is 2% or something ridiculous. I always play Knight now for the crazy defence. Archer/Wizard are best DPS but they're so effing squishy.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, Godlands are always absurdly crowded, and you can count on at least 50% of the pots to be ninja'd from right under your nose, even if you did all the goddamn work blarphage

Yesterday was Canada Day, although I started up with a bit of an argument with the boyfriend, he did actually show up and go to a party with me and meet the friends that I grew up with. I got to see a couple of people when I first got home, but for the most part I haven't been able to get together and visit one of my best friends in over a year.

Only downside was, something about drinking in Canada makes me really sick. :/

Meidoll Japanese Maid Cafe is wub.gif
The ramen was okay - at least the taste was right and it was filling. I loved the tempura fried ice cream and fried sushi. Overall, the place can improve a whole lot. However, for a starting maid cafe (and also the first maid cafe around), it's great. biggrin.gif
I loved the scenes on Transformers 3. I don't know why, but I feel less rushed with the pace and the scenes.

Well, I think the college is done auditing me. I finally managed to get my Dependent Student Verification forum with attached 1040, W2s, and copy of extension that my folks filed. I had to fax it 3 times before they received it. Now it's processing. We'll see if they require any more hoops.

The next hoop will be on fire. And it will be a literal flaming hoop.

Watching MLP:FIM. cloud9.gif

I must say, watching Aison overlink was like watching a train wreck. You're not sure what's going on, then it dawns on you, then you watch in silent horror as everything falls apart. I had a good laugh at it, sitting there looking at the corpses of everyone on the ground and the hundreds of ice mob corpses. Events are good times.

Scored a free PS3 today off of a friend. It's the older style with backwards compatability.

But as in all things, there is a downside. It has the Yellow Light of Death. I've been researching how to fix it, and now I just need to locate my screwdriver set, buy some thermal compound, and go to work.
Also, I should replace my 26 year old tv.

I received a package in the mail yesterday. It contained Hot Tamales, Dots, Smarties, Skittles, Combos, and Popcorn. I wub.gif Mom.

Got on Skype for the first time in a while, and the last conversation I had on there is still saved... why do I never remember saying these weird things? laugh.gif It's kinda cute though. Making me miss that guy. THAT GUY.

Him: let's see
Me: haha just brainstorming rapper names?
Him: yeah
Him: just in case
Me: JUST IN CASE
Me: you get bitten by a radioactive gangster rapper and mutate into one
Him: that would rule
Me: you -would- say that

That would be the silliest origin story ever. ...Well no, that's not true. I mean, look at The Wall. THE WICKED WALL. Ok, too much caffeine.

Well, the disassembly of the PS3 went pretty smooth if you ask me. I had to buy a special screwdriver(Torx T-10) just for the purpose(that's the crappy part about projects, you spend $$$ on a tool that you'll never use again). I also bought a heat gun for $22 at Home Depot last night because my dad told me he doesn't know where his is............he found it this morning......

But, the rave is that within a few hours(waiting on some rubbing alcohol), I should have a fully functioning, backwards compatable PS3 with an upgraded 350 GB hard drive for less than $50. When it finally dies again(this is the second YLOD it's experienced), I'll break down and buy a brand new one. I will also make a trip into the city in a couple weeks to buy a Vizio 26" HDTV. Right now i'll just use my 26 year old Hitachi. I'll have to run the PS3 through the VCR(yes, I still have a VCR, bwahahahahha).

Putting in my application for BT is leaving me with mixed feelings, but mostly good.

Just sell the old one and buy a new one straight. You can sell the backwards compatible PS3s for twice the price of a new one.

VCRs are these contraptions one needed in order to view movies and recordings before the advent of CDs/DVDs/BluRay. Any existing ones are practically artifacts at this point in time.
Unknown2011-07-06 22:06:16
I have a combination VCR/DVD player, does that count as outdated yet? All my old MST3K episodes that we couldn't get DVDs for are on VHS, I'm not giving those up. :

I had one. I was just shocked when he still had one. I haven't seen one in like... a decade.
