Ok, look, this? Awesome. I am currently endeavoring to emulate Foamy.

Ooh, exciting! It'll be tough to match the consistently high quality of the original, but I like what I see so far!

Re-reading through some old Achewood strips has caused me to fully realize what a formative influence it was on my "voice" on the internet. All smaller text with no punctuation, all frequent italics for emphasis. All using the word 'all' a lot.

I gotta concur, Achewood was a real determining factor in my internet voice too. But I found my role models elsewhere.

I am so overflowing with excitement I have to let it out somewhere.

As of 10:23am CST, I am, officially, once again, a college student.

And all my financial aide was approved.

I start English Composition 1 for my English/Lit major on September 6th.

-flap-

Okay, there, I can breathe again.

Congrats on becoming a college student. Did you have to go through all the bureaucratic BS and red tape that I did? My FAFSA and Pell Grant took almost 3 months to process. The FAFSA website somehow messed up my information and I had to resend everything. Then my college randomly selected me for dependent student verification, and i had to show proof of taxes paid, etc. I also had to show my parent's social security cards...... It was a huge pain in the butt, and by the time they approved me, it was too late to apply for on campus housing. But it all worked out great in the end. I'm in now, registered for classes, and found an AWESOME apartment.

CPA, here I come!

Haha, so, I've been going in an IRC channel I used to hang out in a LOT, and spending time there again. And it's kind of strange how different my voice is there than here! I'm very subdued and deadpan in that environment. Also, there is more profanity. But it is a casual profanity.

I can't believe some of the people I used to talk to ages ago still hang out in there! So many shenanigans to be had. :3c

I've already made $270 today, and I don't even go to work for another 30 minutes. Some rich Korean lady needed a ride to Las Vegas, and she agreed to pay me $220 to take her there, and upon arrival, her husband gave me an extra $50. Cost me about $65 in fuel and 6 hours of time on a round trip, definitely worth it. She was going to call a taxi to come out and get her, but it would have cost her a lot more, so she was pretty relieved.

The downside? I'm going to be one tired SOB when i get home from my 8 hour shift tonight.....

Driving is the best job ever. When I used to work for the Columbus health department, they paid me 50 cents per mile I drove for them, and I had to drive around the city a lot. Also, mileage reimbursements being tax exempt was pretty great. A guy I know is interning with Microsoft in Seattle, and they are paying his travel expenses to move back to Columbus after his internship. That's about $1,100.00 to drive back across country, and gas isn't going to cost him half that on the trip. They are also paying for up to six nights of hotel stays on his way back. So lucky.

I can seeeee again! I got the glass for my frames, and they put them in. This time it worked. Nice gentleman gave us a refund cause they messed up the glasses the first time. But now they're all good. It's still a bit odd til I get use to the new prescription, heh. But I can see, this makes me happy. Tommorrow, we get a new AC.
