Skyyyriiiiimmmm.

So jealous.

Is the levelling any less of a trap for people who can't bear to make their character as good as possible?

I must be the only person that thinks the elder scrolls games are boring. Sure its 100+ hours of gameplay, but the combat is so dull and leveling made no sense.

That's never what made them fun for me. I really enjoy the great detain and sense of exploration in a very well though out world. It's for this same reason I enjoyed Morrowind better than Oblivion, and probably Skyrim; Morrowind FELT alien and strange, you actually felt like a newcomer to a strange land, and could learn all about through exploring the incredibly detailed game. Not to mention I enjoy RPing my character in game like this, though that may make me a huge nerd for RPing with myself....

Not at all - that's what made Morrowind enjoyable for me, too. I'd rank playing Morrowind for the first time right up with FF6 and OoT for important gaming moments in my life.

Quite! No more attributes. You get to increase your health, mana, or stamina by 10 each level up. Much less complicated. You also get a perk to take each level.

Went to Vegas this weekend. Enjoyed some delicious food at DJ's Bibingkahan on Maryland Pkwy. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for good food in Vegas. I missed eating Filipino food, so it was a welcome treat. Nice big servings too. Even ate me some Balut(y'all need to google images that).

Met with an advisor today to get into the Accounting program. I am finally enrolled in upper division classes, and have only 4 semesters left before stepping out of the butt and into the #####

For the first time in years (weird to think of it that way, but it has been), I'm looking forward to signing up for next semester. I think I might have actually, maybe, perhaps, I'm hoping, found something that I like. That's actually legitimately terrifying for me to think, since I'm so used to wanting nothing, but I'll get over it. I have to. I'm probably not going to get another chance to pull myself out of this rut if I pass this up and I'm thoroughly sick of being stuck. Here goes nothing.

Bastion was an awesome game, best I've played for a while. I got it...uh...~24 hours ago, and I already beat it just now. And I didn't just rush through- I got first prize in every single proving ground and completed all but three Vigils (didn't get the repeater/dueling pistols/musket masteries, I was way too attached to my bow to switch it out for other ranged weapons), completed every Who Knows Where and upgraded near every weapon to full power. I was so absorbed in the story that I wanted to hear every last damn thing the narrator had to say. Never once did doing the challenges over and over again to get the best prizes, or doing the Who Knows Where things with shrine stuff on for more fragments feel like a grind, either.

It's only $15, but I got more enjoyment out of it (and its soundtrack) than most of the $50-60 games I've played. If you like fun, original, gorgeous games with amazing soundtracks, I recommend buying Bastion.

And I seriously sat there for about 15 minutes deliberating over the ending choice, because I'd grown so attached to the characters that I cared too much about their stakes in either choice. A much more difficult choice than most other games that have divergent endings, since typically it can be boiled down to "good or bad lol" and I always pick good on account of being a huge hippie. I eventually chose Evacuation. And I'm not sure if it does anything different besides make him show up in the credits stuff or not, but I saved Zulf.

I have discovered a Facebook page started by our local Police Department. It is instantly updated with mugshots, names, charges whenever somebody gets arrested. Hours of entertainment.

Might be getting back to being happier again. I've been less reluctant to talk to people and not sleeping for 16 hours a day. And I'm excited that I get to talk to one of my favorite people ever more often soon~

(It's so weird how giddy that makes me, just to think "I get to talk to them!" I guess that's being in love with someone.)

Got my CDL, celebrated with Mario Kart 7. I plan to use snaking while driving the truck as well.

Between work and life, looking forward to having tomorrow off.

S/He's no good for you, Feebas. Elope with me to the Canadian hinterlands, and we can live a nomadic (yet romantic!) life of moose-herding and trucker hat wearing.

 You tempt me, but I fear I must decline.

It was worth a try. A dashing figure we would've made on the proverbial dancefloor! A chick that dresses like a dude and a dude that dresses like a chick -- we'd have cut confused miles across the universe.
