I find it sad I knew that without looking it up.
That's not sad. What's sad is people who don't have the complete boxset. It's like not having any Nirvana albums - you just fail at the 90's, instantly.
Ytran2012-01-27 05:59:44
I find myself rather content having failed at the 90's.

Who is Nirvana?

Soundgarden and Pearl Jam were better bands then Nirvana.
Yeah I said it.

Soundgarden were alright. Pearl Jam are awful, and you're awful for liking them.
(bands that are better than Nirvana: Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth)
EDIT: KYUSS

My rave:
After a fiasco trying to set up a rental car with Budget, I got ahold of a very sweet girl at Enterprise who set me up. With a discount. Arriving an hour ago to pick it up, they were out of the cars in the class I'd ordered - so they upgraded me, at no cost.
I'm going to Tampa for the weekend to see some friends for Gasparilla, and I'd mentioned this to one of the gentlemen I do business with in my 'real life'. He stopped by last night and dropped off a 1.75L of Grey Goose where I work, with an 'Enjoy your weekend!' note, from both he and his wife.
So for my weekend of debauchery, we're off to a good start! :)

When did Sior give you a real body?

Just put down a deposit on a new car.

There are a couple of things I want to agree with on this page: First, Dinosaur Jr. is amazing. Second, Pearl Jam is terrible. I would say something more witty on the subject, but Jack already stole the schtick that I stole from Zoidberg, so no dice.
As for Eventru...I'll be in Tampa at the beginning of March myself. Tell me how you like it, and if there are any decent bars.

No thanks, Lendren. I really prefer not to drive as much as I can. I think next time I'm just going to fly, the money be damned.
We stayed in Ybor the entire time - our hotel (the Hilton on 7th I think) was walking distance from most everything and every club we went to was utterly ridiculous and I loved every moment of it. Of course, I had a great group of people to go with, so there's that. I could see things being a bit more tame were it not Gasparilla. I'm sure there's something for everyone, but I saw mostly dance clubs (Amphitheatre was pretty cool, I really liked Ultra Lounge, design-wise, where Rise was held, but my understanding is they have a skeezy reputation). The Ritz was another nice dance club. Czar looked cool from the outside, same with Honeypot, but I didn't have time to check either out. Really, three days was not enough time.
But I danced and I danced and I danced! In fact, I partied to the last (3am this morning), went back to the hotel room, danced for a few more hours, packed up my stuff, drove the 370 miles home, dropped off the rental, went to class for eight hours, and am now finally home.
Still wearing the same clothes I wore to the club last night. Oops!
The only sad part was the first night - as we were leaving one of the clubs, it was pretty apparent that someone had overdosed on something. He was pretty still and covered in sweat and white as a sheet, wasn't moving. A bouncer was checking for a pulse at wrist and neck and a girl was screaming and crying at him. A lesson to be had - anything in moderation might be fun, but you can bet I'll probably never forget that vacant stare. (Drugs are bad, mmkay? Mixing them is dangerous and stupid. Don't make stupid decisions. It's not fun.)

What car are you buying?
Lendren2012-01-31 21:04:37
The latest model of the same car I have, a Prius. Best car I ever owned. (Understand that it's not for everyone.)

Ah! Well, grats! Prius are fantastic little cars.

I've always thought that a fun fuel efficient car to have would be a early-mid 2000's Jetta TDI. I like diesel engines a lot, so it would be a fun car that I could see 45-50 mpg in easily, especially with a manual transmission.
My current land yacht, a 92 Lexus LS400, get's 12 MPG in the city, and anywhere between 19-26 on the highway, depending on conditions. The cost of maintenance and parts on this thing though is the reason I'm not returning to Toyota products when I sell it.

I am going to spend my entire day off pooping around on the internet and accomplishing nothing of value. Well, until this afternoon when I have to go buy art supplies and help my sister with her ridiculously tiny baby and finish my project for tomorrow and all that. But no, doing nothing. Sitting here and staring at the computer. Yes. Good!

Masters is finally finished and came top of my year so very happy! Didn't quite get the mark I wanted for my dissertation though, so I'm really happy but a bit peeved at myself.
