I went for a surprise visit to my mothers for her birthday, my grandmother and me kept telling her all week that I was working and my grandfather was under dire threat between me and my nanny if he let her know I was visiting.

She was very very happy, because I've been living with my grandparents for over a year and I'm about to move out on my own to Sault Ste Marie, which is about 7-8 hours away from her and she lives about an hour or so away from me now in Richmond Hill (if anyone has read Alias Grace, you'll know what this town became 'famous' for ). So in the end, we got to go explore the town, go shopping and spend the day together.

I've never seen her so happy.

edit: Okay, I'll probably see her just as happy when I come back home for her wedding in October.

was putting away dishes and was holding this small cutting board, and my daughter said some snide remark, and I feigned like I was going to smack her with the cutting board. She threw her arms into the air and went "Aahhh!!" and I said 'GEEZ what kind of mother do you think I am!?'

and her reply?

"The best mom ever." and the most angelic grin *swoon*

That's alright, a few days ago, my son was sick, and was on a dry toast diet.

I made him some, and he handed it back to me, and said, " No thanks, daddy, I'm lactoast intolerant"


Then. friday. we went to eat chinese food. After a few obvious cat jokes, my son said "Maybe it's made from cow!!"

I said, "why do you say that, son? What sort of chinese cow?"

He said " Cash Cow, like you, daddy!"

Stunned, I said, "What? "

He says, "You work, give mommy the money, and she buys us chinese! Mooooo!"

lol as mine would say, "pwned"

How old is he?
The other day I was cooking in the kitchen and got distracted by Lusty and burnt something, and I was informed by my 8 year old that I "failed at life"
I swear I dont know where she gets this stuff from

He's four, and likes to wake up and watch adult swim while I'm sleeping

we watch it together...she does a mad crazy Meatwad impersonation LOL She also likes American Dad and FamilyGuy....



Some people have given me a lot of crap for letting her watch those types of things, but she's intelligent, independent, and can hold a conversation with me, so I ignore them. Today we discussed the disadvantages of credit cards, and the conviction on her face as she explained to me that it wasn't free money, it was borrowing from someone that needed it paid back or they would charge you more, was fricken priceless. I guess she watched something called Bizkid$ today and that's what she learned heh

My rave for today:
Been feeling like crap for the last month or two, and felt kinda better today, so I spent 2 hours learning how to do 50's hairstyles, did my hair, did my makeup and took new pics and I kinda like them and that makes me sorta happy momentarily.
