I don't know if this is a rave or a dissatisfaction, but I'm going to think positive and put it here.
Had my second phone interview for the new job, and it went ok. I was super nervous and didn't give as good of answers as the last interview, but I let my personality show and she seemed to like me. Pretty sure she hinted that I'd be hearing from the hiring manager soon about the next step, but that could have been my very tired, slightly delusional brain reading things between the lines that weren't actually there.
In a perfect world: I'll have my in-person interview with the hiring manager on Wednesday and give my boss my two weeks notice on Friday. Here's hoping!

So jealous. Zilias has the nice desk with all the room. I have one of those laptop carts crammed into the space next to his desk.
Not that we would have room for a second desk, but still...

Two monitors is pretty much one of the best things ever, can't wait till I can set up mine again. <3

I would love to have three monitors (and think I'm at the stage where having them would give a notable increase in usability), but I've heard dodgy reports about getting them working in Ubuntu. Still, I might give it a shot next month... ;)

I was gonna say I see three monitors... but not only is there the Ubuntu issue, but most laptop video cards can't do three. Or at least couldn't last time I looked into it a few years ago.

Actually my laptop is just by itself - I have a desktop running the two monitors. I plan to phase out the laptop now I am back on my pc. :)

Finally playing Mass Effect (the first one. Yeah I know.) Despite my trouble with console gaming forcing me to turn everything down to the "please assist me for I am mentally handicapped" difficulty settings, I'm having fun with it. I am enjoying all of the races. Especially the elcor. Oh man I love the elcor.

Because my computer has seen much better days and I honestly think that putting another game on it would kill the poor thing. I'm really not a console gamer, I turned my 360 on for the first time in over a year* to play this, and it is such an alien (har) experience.

ok that's not totally true, I've been playing it some over the past few days since I ordered the game to get used to using a controller again. BUT IT'S MASS EFFECT'S FAULT.
