Crazy week coming up! My abuela (The Immortal Woman) is in town from New York/Republica dominicana, and is staying with my father until the end of the week. At the end of the week is the far other side of my family's reunion, for which my aunt and uncle are in from New York (also), which I'll go to until sat. evening, when I head out to the ol' camp in the campo to get lifeguard certification and other such things, then it's my birthday on Monday, and so on!

I got a rusty, cruddy old cast iron griddle for free on the side of the road. Four hours later, it is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. There's something extremely calming about seasoning cookware.

Small but significant rave.

A complete stranger buying me a full size waffle cone of fresh strawberry icecream. I was having a bad day and then it just got better.

Work is, after a couple of weeks of an extended tantrum, possibly looking up.

Just finished my first day on the job doing market research surveys over the phone, was nowhere near as bad as the stigma surrounding it usually claims. The ppl I talked to were all very polite and friendly. Looking forward to my next shift on Friday.

It's fine for the first few months, then it gets very repetitive.

That describes most jobs, though.

And being single.

Or most video games.

Or basically everything...

Man, tell me about it. Sometimes I find myself doing stupid things, just to break the monotony and to see what happens

I am only working 3 days a week due to restrictions on my student allowance, so hopefully I will last a decent timeframe without getting too bored =p

I fulfil my life with cynicism about "the system". They can't take away that, nor can they my sarcasm.
Kagato2012-05-25 09:44:02
Decent shift today, don't think I will work Friday nights again if I can avoid it though...

The other day I was given the first of the Game of Thrones Books, and now I've gone and bought the other six because they're awesome.

You have a time machine?

She's a very good engineer.

I'm confused, so I looked at book lists and it looks like book three and five were split up into part one and two each, so to me I have seven whole books, where as you might not.

The rendition of The Rains of Castamere during the credits of this week's GoT episode is worth many raves.

What's interesting is that they have been playing the tune for it all through the season in certain scenes, and Tyrion has been whistling it while walking around the castle.

side rave: Was really happy to find Lua supports closures. Is making some of this warrior macro scripting a lot cleaner and DRY.
