There's no place like home, except grandma's. content.gif

But anyway, my real world rave:

Tonight on my way back from my girlfriend's dorm, I was holding some trash in one of my hands. I tossed it in a dumpster beside her dorm, and at the last second I realized I had also thrown my student ID in with it. I heard my card sliding over garbage bags and into the back of the dumpster.

I went around to the back, and pulled myself up through a hole in the side of the dumpster, and, using my cell phone as a flashlight, went for a midnight dumpster dive.

After about five minutes of looking, I found it in the back of the dumpster, then proceeded to climb back out of the hole.

It was a pretty awesome experience, actually. I've never went dumpster diving, but always saw it happening in movies and on TV. And there was a ripe sense of victory when I found my card.

I'm sure it was accompanied by a scent of the same description.

Today at Starbucks they were having a sale on their coffee mugs, trying to get rid of the old ones, so they were all marked down by about 50%.

They also have this deal (available all the time), that if you buy a mug or a tumbler, they'll fill it up with your preferred drink, at no extra charge.

There was this one coffee mug that I have been wanting for a while, it's very large and white, and in black letters on the side it says "Starbucks Coffee Co." It just so happened to be one of the mugs on sale, so I bought it for 4$. The cup was so large that the free drink I got (which I was going to buy anyway), was also 4$. So...free mug!

It's seriously more like a bowl, it's so large.

I have discovered the joys of the mocha frappe. I shall never sleep again.

The strange sense of satisfaction I get from studying, realising my teacher is an idiot and showing him up infront of a class. Serves me right for taking a community college class to make my uni and tech college app look good. (That, and working out how to code effectively in zmud. Take THAT, braincells containing useful information, but that's a more in game rant!)

I love that my new medical insurance will mean that I'll get like $40 extra dollars a pay check! Though that's prolly cause the coverage isn't as good. But poor insurance is better than none I suppose and an extra $80 a month is pretty sweet. thumup.gif

I love it when I try a new snack food and really like it. Usually, when I buy Wheat Thins, I get 'original' or 'sundried tomato and basil' flavors. But today, I decided to try 'parmesan basil' and was amply rewarded with wonderful flavor. smile.gif

Ok, so, on my way into my apartment building I saw a hoppy toad! A cute little hoppy toad sitting there with his legs all tucked so he looked like a little toad shaped rock! SO CUTE! I love hoppy toads!

And as if that wasn't enough, my copy of Stephen Colbert's "I Am America (And So Can You!)" arrived today and was waiting for me!

Yay! cheer.gif

(And why'm I the only one raving in the real world? Don't any of you have happy things happening IRL??)

Something like 7768 days in a row without being attacked by squirrels. I was worried today, they're getting aggressive, growling at me, and shaking their tails... menacingly!

And I want Colbert's book, let us know how it is. content.gif

My Durango just pulled into my driveway today! Yay for paying 600 dollars for a 4500 blue book vehicle!

Now to take it to the state inspector who inspected it and missed the bad balljoints. I will be able to have them fix it for free, if they want to keep their inspection lisence! Woot!!!!

Damnit, now I'm chanting it again.
