Though some may hate new Metallica, I can say, after purchasing "Death Magnetic," that I do not. So, a rave for a handful of new metal songs!

(although they still haven't topped "Master of Puppets.")

I believe that the Robot Chicken episode where they visit the creator and he has darts labeled "Cylon (sp)" and a dartboard of the cast to be very accurate.

The soul crushing weight that is Monday is lifted by the sight of a teeny tiny dog playing with a large (relatively) dog bone. wub.gif laugh.gif

ohmy.gif I feel like you are trying to outdo me!! sad.gif

But I'm still content with what I did. 4.7 miles this morning. I feel a bit like this: ouch.gif

Now to work on reducing the time to something more commendable. err.gif

Since you guys are both bike people, I thought maybe I'd ask.

I just ordered this Schwinn exercise bike, but I'm wondering if there's anything I could use on it that would allow me to track miles?

I could probably google it, but I thought I'd ask you and Everiine first, even though this isn't an -actual- bike, but I've got no real experience either way, sooo, yeah.

They make pedometers for bikes, wouldn't that work on a stationary bike too?

They might, but they might not. You could try it though and see what you get. You can get really cheap bike computers at places even as mundane as Target or Wal-Mart. Some of the other data the computer will give you may not be accurate (calories burned, for example, because an exercise bike will give you varying resistance, where the computer doens't know that), but the odometer and speed readings might be accurate. I think the hardest thing would be attaching the sensor and magnet to the exercise bike in a manner that mimics an actual bike.

I don't think that would work too good, since one of the components attaches to a spoke, which the exercise bike doesn't have. In my experience, they don't even work that great on a regular bike.

The bike itself doesn't track mileage? Seems silly if it doesn't.

Edit: Kind of funny that "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" a body shaver. freaked.gif

It was my boss's birthday this weekend, so one of the coworkers made a cake and put it in the breakroom for everyone. I didn't know about the birthday, so I was all like, "Oooh! Cake! Is it an Inauguration Day cake?" and the reaction was hilarious, you'd have thought I asked her if it was a cake celebrating the burning of babies or something. laugh.gif
Noola2009-01-20 16:59:55
I really do love the internet. Because of it, I don't have to miss the inauguration even though I'm at work. wub.gif

Doesn't stop us from witnessing what is considered one of the most historic presidencies ever. tongue.gif

Plus, I can look outside of this class rooms window and see the States. I live five minutes from the border.
