I know this is going to sound weird but even though I spent the event hiding in my manse I still had a great time. Ialie was absolutely horrified. She distrusted everyone in the end even her own family. She locked everyone out of Starhaven.

It was fun!

Yeah lost a lot of money. The other downfall is I think is the rift between Ialie and her son.
Simimi2007-07-21 23:16:23
I'm sure the ridt between Ialie and her son is so much worse than loosing some money.

confused.gif I didn't say losing money was worse. I just listed two downfalls. I said the money first because that goes hand in hand in having to shut down Starhaven.

This my point stands, non?

I was on pretty much with little sleep.. I had only one gripe, I couldn't get the damn pilgrims and such influences. Darn stubborn dwarves. On the other hand, I used 11 credits on influence, which will always help me. I was going to become a bard, and still want to, so influence helped.

And yes Ialie, I recall you being locked up that long.. I was considering finding a way in, even though I was healer, I wasn't gonna ask you to open it!

Only annoying part was being one of the few healers unable to bond and not being infected and seeing all these infected persons....It was fun when Nerra and Ashteru..and even Flacarealah, I think, bit me through emotes because I couldn't be infected

Even I was worried!

Good buffs to healing, though I suffered multiple burn outs within 20 seconds or so because my ego ran out and the aura kept ticking. -that- should be changed, perhaps an auto turn off? I understand the burn out, but not 4 times in a row, I saw my experience fly off. Was Scary.

I had immense fun with this event as Veloth. Half of the Paladins guild was yelling at me to go into quarantine, and he was basically all, "F*** YOU! I WANNA HELP!", which I did. Kinda disappointed that my endeavors went unrecognized (even though I got a guildfavour from Shiro and a cityfavour from Varent for spending about 24 hours trying to find a cure for the Plague, but those don't count!) in the Event post, but I'm still glad I participated.

My only TRUE regret is that I had to go to bed early last night because I had to go to work today early in the morning. I wanted to fight the Lord of Contagion! :weep:

I should ask a fighter on how the new healing abilities do in PvP, but there aren't any fighters in healing. Ah well. sad.gif

Anyway, good for Healing not being redundant anymore! I have no delusions that it will be as good at PvP as hexes, but at least it isn't boring and useless.

I thought it was amazing. Personally, it was great that healers finally finally got to do something, and now they have more potential then before. I think this will actually get people to stop criticizing Healing so much, and maybe we'll have some more actual "followers". Heck, maybe even a system to help utilize it better.

Thanks!

I hated it because the timing was very bad for me. My robes decayed because I couldn't find a tailor for risk of being infected. It took me nearly a week the first time round to find a tailor that could do the proofings I wanted. Now I have to go about finding robes with a design that suits me and having them proofed all over again. I had specifically set aside time outside of my normal playing schedule to do advancement tasks but the plague put a kibosh on that as well. It may be several more weeks before I can again find the time to play outside of my normal schedule. I cannot give a truly fair assessment because of my frustrations and because all my effort went into avoiding contracting the plague.

Which brings me to a point I'd like to address. Decay time on items. Can we have it so that the longer you are logged off from the game the slower the decay rate? I like the game but my schedule forces me to be semi-active. It it going to be a tedious task for me to aquire new robes and get the proofings done.

Any chance I can have my robes restored? (<---- Only 1/2 joking)

I was not involved in this event except for weirdos who tried to bite Reiha at the Aetherplex. It was fun listening to everyone complain though! biggrin.gif

That would defeat the point of item decay, which is to get rid of the items of inactive characters to cut down on database bloat.

Okay, this sucks.

Thoros grabs a bunch of Glooms to come grief us on faethorn. Seren reports to defend. One person comes, infected.

SERENWILDE HAS THE WHOLE FSKING PLAGUE, AGAIN. We died some SIX TIMES just trying to kick their flipping asses out from choke, two harbinger songs, probably 10 demon spawns and fae.

God damn, can we please have an event to just REMOVE it and cure everyone in the world? twitch.gif
Reiha2007-07-22 01:44:23
I spoke too soon. I'm infected now sad.gif
Diamondais2007-07-22 01:46:33
Event started out cool. (I'm going to take a few swings at Raguel for leading me to a spot to bite.) Please cure everyone. I logged out cured, logged in as soon as someone walked in the room. Airborn effect had me reafflicted and they walked back to the other room. It took less than five seconds. Plus, because people can't cure others may come up with ways to keep the original plague effect to keep others afflicted. The original plague needs to be dealt with and there aren't enough Healers, also it spreads really really fast, to get everyone healed enough to keep them healthy.
Iola2007-07-22 01:48:29
Similarly, I logged in infected, and got yelled at by people for infecting them. I'm sorry I was sleeping when you got the cure. Obviously it's entirely my fault. sleep.gif A bunch of people have been randomly rude at me, and I'm just not enjoying it. Sticking around long enough to get cured, then going.
