Okay, these is the people that I've met and think is really good.

No order
Daevos, Bhairan, Vathael, Ildaudid, Ixion, Malicia, Forren, Thoros, Livictus, Narsrim.

It's interesting to see the different ideas people have...there are several people I see listed who I think I could kill 1-on-1, and I am far from the top 10. Maybe a lot of it just has to do with what classes we are used to (some people are very good against/very bad against certain classes) or who we fight with/against the most.

I agree, a lot of it can be based on your own class and personal experience.. I am more comfortable fighting warriors than guardians, for instance.

Diamante's top ten of all time...hmm.

I rate this in my perception of abilty, both in physical combat as well as "Fight sense", and not whether they held all the arties and whatnot, no particular order either.

rofl i like that. I can't believe I forgot Geb. I was naming everyone in my head and I know I said Geb twice and somehow I forgot to type him even once. I've actually never seen Murphy fight either, I've heard some of his ideas that sound really cool and innovative. And back when Terenas was still around I was all combat inept so I didn't know who was good back then. Who's Eiru and Icarus? Shamarah's pretty dangerous :/ I liked his whole pooka metawake off right before he dropped choke.

Yeah.. choke isn't that bad if you have metawake on, so the trick is getting out in time, putting it back up, and going back into choke.

i'll give sintor/desitrus some love. i remember when he literally did run through good portions of these top tens in a single FFA. beyond that, many of mine fall in line with the others. geb, diamante, daevos, forren, kaervas, thoros, sojiro (although i've yet to even give him a respectable fight and witness one on one firsthand). then we get into specifics. shamarah in guerilla warfare and krellan simply because he can get people to follow him anywhere and does a nice job rousing and leading groups

Desitrus was Sintor? Oh I remember that when he was sparring all the top people and beating them. that was pretty good too cause he was only 50% my might. He did better Night Axelord than he did Nihilist I think. I didn't see him fight as much as a nihilist anyways

My list of current top fighters:
Geb - Pureblade. All around, great fighter. Every duel with Geb has kept me on my heels, and during the entire duel usually both of us were on the edge of death. Truly some of the best fights I've had in-game.

Forren - Aquamancer. Another one of my dancin' partners, we've had some of the best duels in-game, along with some very interesting fights in Limbo.

Sojiro - Bonecrusher. Though not too well-known, this beast has kept me away from boredom with my assaults against Serenwilde.

Ceren - Bonecrusher. Another bonecrusher whose fights leave me trying to maintain a steady defensive-offensive.

Daevos - Axelord. Hardcore, gansta warlord, he likes to kill in style. Old-school Blademaster, Daevos keeps his blades sharp, and sends most kids home cryin as they complain about warriors.

Shamarah - Shadowdancer. Today's top of the line shadowdancer, Shamarah can usually end a fight pretty quick.

Kaervas - Harbinger. Excels excellently as a Harbinger, and is one of the few scary bards out there.

Revan - Geomancer. One of the few fearsome Geomancers around. Though senile, this griefer sure knows how to put a good fight.

Pentu - That's right, Pentu. If ya don't believe me...well too bad.

I can believe Pentu. If nothing else she's always been a bitch to catch and hold still even in groups. *mutter*

Good call on Eiru and Icarus, both were a bit older so most probably don't remember them well though they definitely were immensely solid all around.

Hazars post was ignored.. sorry but I really cant find much anyone worth note.. and combat rankings are stacked by newbs fighting over and over.

Top current combatants? How current is current? I'm trying to think of all of those people everyone goes out of their way to specifically mention in raids. "Careful, it's not just a random group of noobs, Daevos is with them!"

I would say Ixion, Forren, Daevos, Geb, Shamarah, Sojiro, Krellan, Thoros, Aesyra, and of course Derian the Uber-Pwnzer.

EDIT: and good choice with Eiru and Icarus. I always thought Erion was pretty skilled to, especially for his relatively low might. And Val, but that was probably just because nobody knew how to fight yet back then.
