I think keeping sap stuck is hard enough as it is. >.<
if they cleanse out of it you're not going to resap again unless the demesne hits, which really doesn't affect their balace so much because if that happens then they should be paralysed and you should have that extra second to stick sap (assuming you stripped protection beforehand which is more than likely if you're already attempted to sap) as they try to cleanse then .5 to focus. and .5 to try and cleanse again.

Tip to make sap stick: Spray them with skunk! (if stink is still cleaned first)

A thick ledger: Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! (Better yet: only sell one, to me!)
A glowing bottle: I wish the messages were a little less suggestive. This bottle is absolutely great for a lot of things other than kissing games. I use mine for guild creativity games like the improvised storytelling one. But some of the messages are heavily slanted towards the "default" use, which seems kind of silly to me. Make them a bit more generic, and then offer it more generally, and maybe more people will find other uses than merely finding an excuse for smooching.
The others I don't really care one way or the other about. Or can't remember what they do (which suggests that I don't care enough about them to remember them!).

what? That's like saying I'll envoy that toads not be able to be stomped anymore cause it's rather silly to stomp on a toad when they can't sip health.
Considering how anti-toadcurse he has been the past, I bet he'd agree to that too. Krellan2007-07-23 00:17:30

that's so ridiculously clever and unheard of on these forums with all the advice that's been given. I think I'm going to worship you.

no kidding, I'm sure Laysus will stop him though! I mean what the heck? Frogs are so small they can walk through fire? the funny part is how I bidding over 1000 credits for the last ice wand and someone outbid me just so I couldn't have it and I got this regular price fire wand that saves me the trouble of stomping.

I think they changed that...? The order is Sap/mud/fire/stink now, if my memory serves me.Krellan2007-07-23 00:28:17
is it? where does ectoplasm go in there? someone should find that out so druids can also carry ignite enchantments too.
Ashteru2007-07-23 00:29:04
stink goes before slickness, at least.

I'm pretty sure the Toadcurse AB file doesn't say "You can stomp on the toad to kill it, or use fire walls." If you start adding other ways of damaging them, why not just make them susceptible to all regular attacks?

it also doesn't say that the toad can run away, naturally regenerate, used to be able to walk on water, run unsapped, and ninja like (cloaked), as well as non locateable save by eye. THe walk on water, unsapped ninja running have been changed though. Toads are also susceptible to guards, though not other aggros. So I'm assuming they're only open to aggressive things they're enemied to.

Exeryte hit the nail right on the head. It's meant to be killed by stomping, not other methods. You can't point an ignite enchantment at the toad to light it on fire, so why can you use a firewall instead? Balance-wise, it makes no sense. You're supposed to actively chase the toad *or* use icewalls to trap it, and still have to stomp. Firewalls circumvent it for some really odd reason. They should not.
Simple sense.

It is general knowledge that toads can hop around and swim in water. At least where I live, they can.
Scanning picks up the figures of other players, scent picks up their smell. If they are a toad, why would you recognize their figure/smell? Anyways, toads are hindered with restricted movement. You are far faster, making it easy to catch them. One time, when you turned me into a toad, you didn't check the Faethorn aetherdock where I was sitting quietly. Remove toad cloak/regeneration if they have it - those don't really fit, unless they're in swamp or forest.
Again, if guards and firewalls hurt toads, why shouldn't regular attacks do so? Stomping should be the sole way to kill a toad.
As for the artifacts: all but the wands, amulet, bottle, and boots (let Trackers keep some utility to themselves).

Toads swim around here a bit, too.
They just drown if they decide to swim in pools, since the edges are too far up for them to get back out.
Oh, idea-- toadramps for pools. Hmm... too bad they wouldn't use the things.

That guard thing is a practical necessity:Shayle toads Sham.
Sham walks past 500 seren guards and totems, into the uber-secret-zomg-spot, with the lever that if pulled by a glom destroys the serenwilde instantly.

I do agree that the guard-bit is necessary.
However, totems don't hit a toad afaik (it'd be kind of insane if they did, heh).
