It is general knowledge that toads can hop around and swim in water. At least where I live, they can.
Scanning picks up the figures of other players, scent picks up their smell. If they are a toad, why would you recognize their figure/smell? Anyways, toads are hindered with restricted movement. You are far faster, making it easy to catch them. One time, when you turned me into a toad, you didn't check the Faethorn aetherdock where I was sitting quietly. Remove toad cloak/regeneration if they have it - those don't really fit, unless they're in swamp or forest.
Again, if guards and firewalls hurt toads, why shouldn't regular attacks do so? Stomping should be the sole way to kill a toad.
As for the artifacts: all but the wands, amulet, bottle, and boots (let Trackers keep some utility to themselves).

they do have regeneration, the cloak is gone. I don't timestamp the stomps, but firstly after a toadcurse the toad can go hopping away before you've recovered equilibrium. we can thirdeye players, but not those with gems. Another thing is that if you don't stomp right away, meaning you follow a toad first then immediately stomp, a toad can still move two rooms before you've regained balance and moved the one room away to where you saw the toad move. So after you've moved you've got a literally split second to squint in every direction to see where a toad is. Or observes and notice all the spam instantly as well as regain balance unless you have another artifact. toads should plain and simply just die after the time expires and have the chance for a cure to backfire be lowered substantially or removed completely. Warriors all have their instant kills, some have multiple, sacraments warriors have up to three, Bards their death songs, guardians each get two minimally, three if they take tarot. Let's see, what's left? Aquas get one, geos, have one, psionicists each get one, dreamweavers even have one, monks get one, don't know the shofangi skills if they get two. that means the moondancers don't get an instant, and you want to remove artifact abilities that help finish the job? They aren't even guarantees since there's a cure and the artifacts cost more than the entire skillset of wicca. And we actually found you, but you just changed back and hopped on to some ship. not sure how long toadcurse lasts.

Long, long ramble without much of a point.
Doesn't change that firewalls should not touch toads. Ignite enchantments don't, swinging swords don't, moonburst doesn't.

FYI, the monocle allows you to diagnose another quickly and see all their defences.
oh neat, I'd give that an okay.
Shamarah2007-07-23 02:34:01
I don't really see any particular problem with firewalls affecting toads as long as the toads don't actually catch on fire. Icewalls are still better.

What are the balance/eq requirements for the monocle?

in either case icewalls are better cause you can set up again for another kill after vitae.

Has about a half second balance use.

So it does require balance/eq to use, same as diagnose, correct? Just a shorter time, and the ability to use it on other people?

Right.

Estarra most of the ones posted seem fine, but I am incredibly disappointed that the Spectacles were sold at all. If they -had- to be sold, 500cr is insanely too cheap for their worth. I would suggest 850cr bare bare bare bare bare minimum. 1000cr would be solid.
Edit: The seeing stone should have been auctions only, too.

All the artifacts I'd have wanted made permanently available have been put up for regular sale. Good stuff.

The Foreboding Stone, which does the exact same thing as the spectacles, goes for 400cr in Imperian.

The ivory pendant/statue thingy that does the same exact thing as a dominion ring goes for I think 50cr, maybe 100 in Imperian.
