So, the various rounds of marketing they're doing for The Dark Knight seems to be really effective. Its at least got me really psyched tongue.gif

For those of you who haven't bothered looking, here's what's been officially released thus far:

Teaser Trailer

Personally, I think Heath is going to make an awesome joker, even from just the little bit that's been shown.

I don't quite understand why they are redoing The Joker though. Sure, they're out of the more popular villians, but they still have a few others.

Probably because the Joker is like Batman's arch nemesis, it's hard to have one without the other.

I was a little surprised with the choice of Heath to play the Joker, but when I actually thought about it, I decided he could probably do an -awesome- job with it.

I loved the first one, and the combination of Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan is very, very hard to beat.

EDIT: Also, it's not like they are 'redoing' him. The Nolan Batman movies are, to me, a completely different series and concept than the Burton ones.

They are redoing the joker because while Nicholson did a good job in Batman (1991), he still doesn't reach the greatness of the comic's Joker, which can be quite the badass

Indeedily doodily.

I wish I could wear lavender gloves and still look like a badass.

Joker is by far my favorite Batman villain.

Cillian Murphy (Scarecrow/Crane) is still on the list of "rumored" cast. So, no one really knows if we'll see him or not.

And yes, Joker is one of the most bad ass villains in comic history, which is pretty cool considering he's a clown.

Did anyone read the part in "The Dark Night Returns", where the joker breaks his own neck to frame Batman for murder?

Arix2007-08-05 01:00:49
yeah, Joker kicks teh booty
Verithrax2007-08-05 02:30:26
Joker is not a clown...
Lysandus2007-08-05 04:36:46
He is... a psychopathic one...
Unknown2007-08-05 05:10:30
Technically he was the Red Hood, he fell in to a chemical vat which malformed his face in to the guise of the joker. This drove him insane.
