I was level 60 before I bothered to do the novice requirements in the occultists. I wouldn't complain about the stuff here though... no matter what you do or don't do, you get off novicehood in a day of game time, and thats all that really matters. Guild rank is optional.

BT's assemblies are easy peasy...I'm only at Rowan because I'm lazy >< and because Yeralih decided that I had enough knowledge to pass from Blackthorn to Rowan....now the last one..that's the tough one imo because I truly suck at fighting..

I had an alt in the Ur'guard for a tiny bit. Wasn't it four optional tasks? I at least remember that they were all about having vials and being able to bash.

And to really put and end to this, You can't really have Novice tests. After so much time your automatically out. And no one should be surprised if a guild has a task for gr1, gr2, or any guild rank for that matter. The idea that you can just get guild ranks without any kind of testing is just silly. I also think giving some testing in the guilds RP is fair and isn't asking too much. It is a RP game.

If all it takes is a timed demesne, just start casting effects 10s apart. I doubt whether what sounds like a relatively general, low-level fighting test will need an absolutely perfect demesne. Get a watch and practice typing FORESTCAST within 10s, and your demesne should be fine.

Or, an alias for it? Start in with one, and work your way through, using #wait inbetween, and have it run through? Then check your demesne with how long they've left, and as the first one begins to fade, use the alias again, and it should run through and renew them all. Though that timing isn't perfect, it's a start.

I wonder if that skill that gives you a timed demesne for power counts.

BT Assemblies aren't so easy when the majority of the time that I log on for any length of time the only other druid around is Marpessa.

But, wouldn't that be less of an Assembly problem, and more of one based on Timing?

Without the mythos and rp based tasks, you'd still need someone to check on your progress, and verify that you've done x, y, and z. My understanding of the other guilds (at least in Glomdoring) is that you'd run into the same problem, if your timing was off.
