Prime housing sounds totally radical, but how would it work?

QUOTE(Diamante)
Silver Spiderweb: Works as an infinite web enchant

YES. I like infinite enchant idea. Imbalanced though?

How about a Rune of Preservation... around 50 creds? Attach it to any item, (clothing, vial, jewelry, weapons, etc.) and they'll never decay!!!

Not in the least. Soap is an infinite cleanse enchantment with half balance time that I use instead of infinite cast cleanse. The spider web idea would just be an unlimitted webbing tool, something guardians can already do. It's fine.

DESCRIPTION - 50 credits
NON-DECAY - 50 credits
RESETTING - 100 credits. *includes NON-DECAY*

You may combine DESCRIPTION and NON-DECAY for 100 credits. You may combine
DESCRIPTION and RESETTING for 150 credits. RESETTING already includes
NON-DECAY.

Nothing actually quoteable.

I thought that at first, then I realized... this way, people wouldn't have to email support to get their items set to non-decay / reset, but could buy an artifact for 100cr that attaches to anything sans forged items.

It could make life easier for certain admin-- but you probably don't have a lot of requests for the resetting flag anyways, so perhaps it's not even needed. Still, it's not a COMPLETELY horrid idea.

Its distinctive mark can no longer be discerned.

Actually, I'd prefer if that was true for all items initially. I find it quite difficult to believe that every single person capable of crafting a vial has:
a) Their own mark.
cool.gif Their own distinctive mark (so whoever ends up with the vial, will instantly recognize the mark as belonging to a certain person.)

Items should remain anonymous due simply to the RP-aspect.

An artifact that hides your might on honours.

Likewise, an artifact that takes you off the rankings. (I hate how easily it is determined how much essence a demigod has just by tallying their rankings).

EDIT: Or something that hides pretty much your entire honours, so you can be sneeaaaaky dry.gif

While I can't think of an actual object to do so - but something to allow one to sort through their rift differently? An orb maybe - like a seeing-stone, but would give the ability much like when doing WARES YARROW (to bring up all the yarrow - just an example) to do so with your rift. IR HERB or something - that way you aren't sifting through the information to find just the set you want.

I'd be happy with just the categories, HERB, COMM, TINT, add a sub one for GEMS maybe.

For zMUD users, Workbench Rift does this and a bunch more for 10cr.

How about something that'd allow us to use COMPOSE to make songs with longer stanzas and more of them, but those songs could not have powers imbued? I'd say a booklet of sheets of staff paper.

A personalised method of delivering a letter. A squirrel, imp, wolf, etc.

This already exists. HELP PETS. Mail delivery as something that can be added to pets.
Unknown2007-08-02 18:11:28
Yeah but than you would have to buy a pet first.

That's kinda the point.. if you want your mail delivery to be personalized where do you expect the bunny to come from? Thin air?

If Prime Housing is rare, auction only, perhaps you get to have a new area placed at a pre-defined location. For instance, I could bid in a prime manse or buy lottery tickets, then if I won, I could open a tavern at the Ackleberry Triple Junction, the administration would add an entrance, and I could make a little Inn, Tavern, Tower, Home, or Hut.

The home would be treated as indoor urban and subject to those effects/restrictions. Maybe some rules--you could buy manse artifacts for it but you couldn't have permissions restricting rooms, you'd get Avenger protection but you wouldn't conglutinate if killed there, etc.

Why not? Its a freakin' fantasy game. Splinters shoot from cudgels, dancing can heal, and so on and so forth. Snap your fingers and the little beast pops out of a rift and delivers your letter.

Except I'm not a zMud user. Thus, I don't have that spiffy ability.
For the time being, I'm on Nexus.

Because it's redundant to make something that you can already get, albeit for a much higher price. Consider that you're buying the mail delivery system and getting a cool pet completely free!

Except that its not a pet. It doesn't follow you around, it doesn't have custom emotes, it doesn't do anything other than deposit a letter and disappear. It doesn't even have to be a creature. It could be sparkling lights. It could a free floating mouth that appears and belches out the letter.

You missed my point, I think. You buy a pet and get the mail add-on, but you could consider that you bought a mail system with a pet add-on. And, no belching letters at me, please! Eww.

I want to support the portable housing ideas! Come on, you know you want me to be able to finally live in the Skartch...

How about an artifact that allows one to move about the aetherspace as themselves?
