To add more about Viravain the concept not the various players of.
I loved the very first Viravain of the Summer Song. In my opinion the very first Viravain was the most tragic and the most terrifying of the lot. If you look at the physical description of Viravain now and after the Kethuru events you pretty much get what you expect. The Summer Song Viravain was this innocent seeming beautiful goddess of nature and creation. All it required though was 5 minutes of conversation with her to realise she was broken. Mentally and emotionally she came across as scarred in the most psychologically dangerous way. Like a child who kills a puppy, kitten, even a baby sibling from squeezing it too hard with genuine affection. The child cries until a new object takes over her attention which she then procedes to love to death and the process repeats over and over. She remind of the episode of the Twilight Zone with the young boy who wanted every one in town to love him and if they didn't he'd send them away or set them on fire. As soon as the offenders were dead or gone he'd go back to being a love starved little kid completely oblivious of the horror he had inflicted.

Of Mice and Men is an excellent story. The comparison is not quite correct. Lennie is developmentally disabled while Viravain was psychologically damaged.

Ok, let's get this straight.
THIS is Elmyra from Tiny Toons...
And THIS is Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
I just can't decide which one is more like Viravain....
Arix2007-08-06 23:38:25
some obscene combination of the two, with tassels and a chainmail bikini?
Ashteru2007-08-06 23:58:10
Hey, I'd know which one I'd hit.

Assuming Ash doesn't have a freaky cartoon fetish like some of the anime fanboys around here I am going to agree with him.

Hrm...time to share some love since I've done a great job derailing this lovely thread.
<3 to Ayridion for playing along so many times and somehow managing to get the mortals to think we're mudsexing.

MORGFYRE IN A THONG!
HOT.
But seriously, much love to Morgfyre for being so great. Maybe this is after coming from a divine/patron who was never around and never did anything or gave us any advice, but Morgfyre, despite being an associate producer now is STILL active and interacts with us and roleplays.

Elostian, for making me sit back and think for 15 minutes to his questions. Oh, and for the humour.
Viravain, for all the stuff she brings to Glom, and for understanding. Thank you.
