Monk could be a good rogue too.
As for killing Shayle, you don't even have to be capable, as she's not a fighter (this is not an insult - everyone is special in their own way). Does she even have battle triggers?

But yeah, posting in an immaturely antagonistic and ad hominem way does NOT help your cause. Even if you're like that only towards one person and kind towards everyone else. ESPECIALLY if you're like that towards one person only.

EDIT: Clarified a bit.

I got toadcursed for asking a simple question. You just didn't like how it was asked and if I was capable...I would have killed you in the blink of an eye. However, since this is not the place nor the time, either post something useful or go back to being a witch in Lusternia.

Because killing the Shadowdancer guildmistress, who happens to be one of the most respected members of Glomdoring, would be a great idea? suspicious.gif

EDIT: Shadowdancer guildmistress. But it's the same idea.

To everyone else,

Thank you all for the input. I greatly appreciate it.

Haha, no.

It was not asking a simple question.

You were being extremely disrespectful.

I'm not to worried about Shayle persay. I'm more worried about Xenthos and the rest of the commune coming after me.

Meet me. I never had to deal with politics if I didn't want to, and I never got screwed over. You just need to lay low, and all is cool.

You just guild/faction hop whenever you feel like it.

I have to argue against part of that. For the most part, in the serenwilde at least, those people(with roguish tendencies) who wish to do/think there own thing can, it's when they take offense to the rest of the nation and try imposing their views, or judging others that the sparks start to fly. (Example: If you want to be a pro-Crow anti-Hart person in the Hartstone, you can, as long as you don’t actually express that view to anyone who’ll take offense to it, namely almost every single seren.)

You just have to ask yourself, if you want to be a rogue (or non-rogue), who avoids any and all possible confrontation (physical or ideological) with everyone else out there (including those people who are just itching to confront others) how much are you actually -playing- the game? You might as well just log into a chat service as you'd get around the same effect.

Edit:I'd lay off the personal attacks, no matter who did what to piss you off in-game. Doing that will get you smacked around pretty fast on these forums, and you'll only have yourself to blame afterward.

Exarius. Love him or hate him.

Politics are rather lame in this game. honestly, more people play to tick other people off then not really.

True. IMHO the best bet is not to deal with people out of game. Do what you will in game and react entirely as if everything was done with purely IC motivations. Of course nearly nothing is but it makes the game a hell of a lot more fun.

Hey I'm not putting you down for it. I give you credit for maintaining the fun.

I'm enjoying BT and Glom. I have taken a personal pledge not to take in-game stuff personal. I'm just going to play my character as strange as I always have and scheme away.

Whatever you did, I can tell you others have done worse, and everyone's at least a bit childish early on. You can build on that however, and use it to evolve your character, that's what I would do at least. Then, in a awhile, if you haven't done anything similar, and instead applied yourself, people's opinions will change.

You have to do a lot to completely lock yourself out of an organization, and even then you can -eventually- prove yourself again. The time/actions needed dependant on the amount/severity of offenses, some of which (hrm, Daevos joining Celest) would take some months real-life of work on the part of the one seeking admittance.

If however you like to play your character rather off-the-hook, and don't want to take the time to smooth things over with anyone, you'll eventually gain animosity from some members of any nation you join. All Nations have some rules and decorum practices they expect their members to follow.
