Collegiums

Back to Common Grounds.

I really love the history part of the collegium. Just listening to those stories!
And figuring out the herbs was nice too.

Can you go to the collegiums of other commune/citys... I would go there, just to get the alternative view on the history.

If the moonhart nexus world was given a 15 point value it would work better imo

guild rite

You raise weevils overhead with a ceremonial flourish, concluding your guild
rite.
Your karma rises in response to your deeds.
Your spirits are uplifted by the rite, and you feel that you have learned
something.

PS: I was told it was bugged before. If anyone's interested it apparently is now 525 essence per person attending ( I got exactly 4200 essence with 8 people there, myself included).

PPS: So yes if possible I think it could be raised a bit. Perhaps something like 1k essence per person attenting. That's still not crazy much (even with 10 people it would only equal like killling 5 linked astral critters solo) but would give level 70-80+ people perhaps a chance to see a change in their experience too.

How? That doesn't really teach them anything about planar travel or aetherships.

Its unique syntax and rules and everything.

Also, something I thought was interesting is that even if you quit your commune/city and join another, it will always say which one you graduated from.

Ew, I don't like that. I think it would be better if you graduate from another it would replace it.

If anything, it should simply add to it. Why is it a problem if we know where you came from?

I'd just like either a way to replace it or just remove the fact that one of my characters graduated from a certain Collegium. Especially if they switched communities and would like to sever all ties to the old one. Maybe a renounce command? Honestly I just don't like a lot of permanent things tied to characters in their honours. I'd also love a way to forsake certain honours lines that I don't want anymore.

Not to get completely off topic, but could we have clan deeds outside of guilds as well? I've actually wanted this for ages, I've had people go inactive while TMing one of my cartels.

And the collegiums look lovely!

I have a small question.. How the hell do I help these novices? :S

Aetherships maybe, but realistically to complete the quest you have to get someone with the right skills to take you around. Unless newbies are going to be given piloting rights to ships they are still just going to stand there following the older player around.

Also the nexus world is of some importance in the long run being a place that the newbs should eventually be visiting to get moonchilde, defend, etc.

Is this going to put Guides out of their jobs?

Why even have a novice channel anymore?

GNT hasn't put guides out of their jobs yet, I don't see CGT doing it either.
Richter2007-08-13 06:40:43
If anything, this gives them more to know and to help out with, IMO.
Saran2007-08-13 13:34:14
hum, so far all I can work out as far as privs go are:-

cgt(on/off)
cgwho
readlog glade

anyone know of any others cause I have no idea, oh and will collegiums always be open to everyone?

Everywhere is cool except....
He is a graduate of the Shadowmaze.
He is a graduate of the College of Necromantic & Tainted Research.
He is a graduate of the Ancestral Glade of the Moonharts.
He is a graduate of the Empyreal Academy.
Most sound awesome, but the glom one reads more like "This one went to community college." Compared to the rest. Heh

Agreed. Seren has a Glade can't we have something nifty like a fen or a holm. As well, shadow maybe nifty for the Shadow Dancers but not all Glom guilds are night-centric. Could ours have Wyrd in the title to encompass all of the guilds?
Ixion2007-08-13 16:44:44
How long do the new GM honors last?
Unknown2007-08-13 18:40:48
I'm assuming that the GM honors are permanent, just like any other honors line. I'm probably the first ever GR19 Champion, though! Oops?
Unknown2007-08-13 21:24:39
I think the honour lasts until it is bestowed on someone else.

When an Administrator holds the deed to a clan, they can then change the leader of that clan at their desire. Essentially, it allows the Administrator to permanently control a guild's clans.

This is the most awesome thing EVER (speaking from experience with people going inactive with their clans and having to ask divine to give them to us, etc.)

One comment though on the college graduation line...

He is a graduate of the Ancestral Glade of the Moonharts (honours).

Does anyone else think the (honours) looks a little..silly, maybe it could just be "He is an honours graduate of the Ancestral Glade of the Moonharts." Just a thought
