Far and away Aaron the Moor in Titus Andronicus is the most brilliant and wicked character I have ever seen.
An Example:
LUCIUS
Art thou not sorry for these heinous deeds?
AARON
Ay, that I had not done a thousand more.
Even now I curse the day--and yet, I think,
Few come within the compass of my curse,--
Wherein I did not some notorious ill,
As kill a man, or else devise his death,
Ravish a maid, or plot the way to do it,
Accuse some innocent and forswear myself,
Set deadly enmity between two friends,
Make poor men's cattle break their necks;
Set fire on barns and hay-stacks in the night,
And bid the owners quench them with their tears.
Oft have I digg'd up dead men from their graves,
And set them upright at their dear friends' doors,
Even when their sorrows almost were forgot;
And on their skins, as on the bark of trees,
Have with my knife carved in Roman letters,
'Let not your sorrow die, though I am dead.'
Tut, I have done a thousand dreadful things
As willingly as one would kill a fly,
And nothing grieves me heartily indeed
But that I cannot do ten thousand more.
LUCIUS
Bring down the devil; for he must not die
So sweet a death as hanging presently.
I recommend the Anthony Hopkins version of the movie. Surreal but worth it.
Also, Mr. Croup from Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. This guy eats fine china for the sheer joy of destroying an item of beauty.
Agree with the Auditors. Malevolent or not, bureaucrats are always evil.

Black Mage, he's evil.

Albedo from Xenosaga, not sure how many have played it but he's friggin crazey.

And, even if no one knows him: Lu Bu. So badass.
OMG, I hated Lu Bu. He made me and my friend run around like chickens with our heads cut off when we first ran into him. Frick'n Dynasty Warriors.
Shiri2007-08-18 15:26:09
Lu Bu wasn't so bad except that he had basically infinite health potions, like every other damn boss mob in those games. Defeating them was based entirely on whether they sipped health or not when you got them to like 1/4 health. If they didn't, you won. If they did, you had to keep going for another few minutes. Cao Cao did the same frickin' thing.

I'm more than a little fond of Ultimecia. Hee. Kurse all SeeDS.
Oh, and I guess Quinn Dexter from the Nights Drawn Trilogy. Everyone loves the Black Messiah and his particular take on Satanism. You should all go read that book. Start now and you should finish the series in two days time. Assuming you do nothing but read. Jesus, but are those things huge. What are youwaiting for? Go pick up the reality dysfunction and read until your copy resembles mine, that is to say, missing the covers and a few pages from the start and finish.

Kefka, because he actually succeeded in destroying the world
Unknown2007-08-29 07:01:12
I'm surprised no one has said SID 6.7 from Virtuosity, I mean come on, how could you not love a man who's made up of the most dangerous serial killers of all time?
I don't like Russel Crowe movies too much (although I did like Gladiator) but he played that character perfectly... He almost seemed to enjoy acting it out a little too much. To anyone that's actually seen it the (I'll spoiler this just in case..)
If you haven't seen it, I'd suggest renting it... Not exactly the best movie but it does have some good bits in it.

"Symphony of Screams" is probably still one of the most darkest things I've seen...

Those kids in the Trix commercials.
What?! NOT your avatar?!
Mine: Lelouche li Britannia (sp?) or in other words the cool guy in his avatar.
And Daemon Sa'Diablo from the Black Jewels Trilogy (I do love those books, awesomely and compellingly written and immensely funny too. I can read the same scene over and over again and still laugh. I wish I could find books that had as good a writing style.)

What anime/manga is that guy from anyway? "Lelouche" sounds like Code Geass, but I never saw that so I wouldn't know.

It's from Code Geass. The last part of episode 23 is where he goes entirely badass... but in 24 and 25.. meh! Just a big cliffhanger for the second stage. <- krellan sad face

Lelouch isn't the bad guy!
I really like ambiguously evil protagonists, that's all.
For a more serious answer, one of my favourite badguys is Cersei Lancaster. You'd love to hate her.

I has queue.
To be more detailed, I'm watching Cowboy Bebop now, and Death Note after that. Watching more than one series at a time (in a situation when you have all the episodes available at once, like when you downl... I mean, when you have a DVD. Yes, a DVD) doesn't mix well in my brain. It's the medial equivalent of eating strawberry ice-cream and mushroom pizza in one dish.

Do it like Cuber, get the Torrent-Dvd. It's all over the stores.
Shiri2007-08-29 08:41:29
Not Code Geass, which I tried for about 10 episodes and found completely boring. I meant a Song of Fire and Ice.
