So, I raided Nil today, and Shiri suggested I post the log. Take a look if you want, to see what things look like from my end to help think of how things might be adjusted.

Your log is fun to read =P It looks like IllusorySelf really saved your life there heh. Maybe if you could figure out a way to keep track of who has truehearing (perhaps by making a trigger to see when LightCantata hits a person) and when they eat earwort and are blanknoted, you could save some unnecessary blanknotes (I have no idea how to do this, just speculating). Hrm I noticed that when you killed Callus the CrusaderCanto flames didn't go off though O_o. Oo and when someone is thrown out of a maze it's a good opportunity to stick on an insta-kill. Heh I don't think you asked for advice but those are just my thoughts (I'm one to speak.. getting beat by my little brother now *mutters about needing a system*)
Hmm what I would like to know though is how much your CrusaderCanto hits for as it is affected by all damage buffs as well.
Addendum: I'm still reading the log @_@ In response to some of the things I saw in the log, maze can be escaped fairly easily, as soon as you get in then spam all directions and you can get out in 1-2 seconds. Once someone's been in a maze I usually don't weave it on them again because they know how to escape and it's a waste of 10 power. Plus, Mag's with a certain skill can avoid the maze fairly easily *peer Balizar* First time's always amusing though =)

Yeah, I have an echo for people getting thrown out now.

Very fun read, and even though I'm not a bard it still showed some things I could use to make myself better.

- Nerf IllusorySelf.
- How are you not blind from those colors?
- It seems that not one of the defenders really knows how to heal Maelstrom afflictions.
- Even with your own semi-manual healing and mid-level health, you managed to tank all that for quite a while.

The colors do get a little crazy sometime. I often barely pay attention to the fight and just judge how I'm doing by what colors are on my screen at the time.
Also considering getting rid of the blinking in hopes it'll be less resource intensive and I'll get less slowdown against some people/groups.

Dude.
You're so OP.
...I tried to open the log and it killed my computer.
Tael says I can give my computer truehearing by putting earmuffs around the input plug, anyone know how that works/have the message?

You need five coven members, released shadows, and 100% karma.

All my inexperienced ass can say is that it has developed an unhealthy level of hate and jealousy towards Glamours.

Your subtle egotistical remarks usually annoy me acrune. But I must say, nicely done. Fun log to read.

Heh, cantors.
Nice, though.

Bard damage, especially with Cantors, is pretty stupid. We need to fix that next month.
Malarious2007-08-18 06:19:06
My two cents:
1) Nerf bard damage
2) Crusadercanto seems a bit potent with normal hit but its the fact your own song can boost the damage on that as well that is kinda dumb
3) Maelstrom is rather powerful too
Screw it... Nerf glamours offense and the doppleganger.

Acrune was doiing between 1800-2k to me, and i have lvl 3 magic resist.
My max health is 4.4k.
that means he is doing over 40% of my max hp per hit. that's without acromatic aura.
Looks like stormhammer without the massive mana and eq loss.

yeah looks like he was using that charged attack, I'm gonna look on the wiki to see if they have a description of it since I don't exactly know what it does. But I've heard Acrune can do like 3k damage to people undeffed with it. maybe it was in the previous rants thread or something? but that would've been on a demigod so it might also scale to health. and Acrune has good health! 4k is

Every ten seconds the Cantor gets a charge-up of flames, the damage increases in the order of 200/400/600 and any damage they do will cause the flames to hit and then the counter resets. I think when this was originally suggested, the part about it being affected by buffs was overlooked. However usually people's resistances will lower these numbers, but Acrune has lots of buffs.
Krellan2007-08-19 00:23:31
oh thanks, the wiki was outdated. I wish I had his damage
Clise2007-08-19 01:30:24
I assume that minorsecond shares the same damage formula as moonburst, with both of them being pure magical attack. Tweak crusadercanto so that its damage boost is not increased by the 10% damage song by having it tick after the 10% boost.
Krellan2007-08-19 02:25:06
which is lame if it does since you have to trans moon to actually get moonburst and then use 10 power for a def to get it only at night and never during new moons. While minor second is like 15 lessons or something.

Now just hold on there. A comparison that seems ridiculous usually is.
Minor second also requires a wielded instrument that must be bought, not summoned, and has to be trained over time to get to the maximum damage output (or alternatively purchase of an artifact). It doesn't give a 10% damage reduction or a weapon aura, or a stat boost. You won't be doing moonburst damage with 15 lessons in music.
It's not bad at all, but it's not very fair to compare that one benefit of Drawdown with the only direct damage skill in Music. Also don't forget bards don't specialize at the moment and hence get no extra int, unlike moondancers (who also get +1 int with drawdown, don't they?). (Oh, and gogo faeling bard/monk specialization for Serenwilde, and elfen bard/monk specialization for Glomdoring! )
