If she ever starts playing again, look up a lovely girl named Felandi. She was one of the best pacifists I have had the joy of playing with, and does it well, despite being in Magnagora.

Oh yeah, I missed the pacifist part.

In that case, important advice: you can be one, but don't be a flaming pacifist: the kind of person who explicitly shuns others from their org who fight, and who proudly exclaims "I'm a pacifist, I won't come to help!" when people defend/ask for help at defending. Feel free not to come, just don't say stuff like that. Also arguing that "why can't we just get along?" (with the other org) or accusing other people from your org of "starting it all" are nothing but recipies for trouble.

Basically, be reasonable. No need to hide being a pacifist/non-fighter, be open about it. Just don't throw it into other people's faces - I saw it one time too many. It ain't nice and it ain't pretty.

Yeah, I understand what you mean and had no intentions of forcing my RP on others. Also, I could still help when defending by giving defenses or supplying items/herbs to the fighters. Just cause I want to RP a pacifist doesn't mean I'm gonna walk around snuggling everyone and asking them to be friends. I guess I'm just looking for an alternate method of leveling and playing besides bash-bash-bash-pk-bash-pk-pk-pk. There was way too much of that in Achaea.

Also, thanks everyone for the advice and criticisms!

First of all, welcome to Lusternia!

There is a LOT you can do here to assist your organization even while being a 'pacificist.' We have a well developed library and theater system that generates power for your organization if you write a book or perform a play. Most orgs give a substantial cash reward for this.

I've mainly spent my days creating new tailoring patterns for the city cartel. I've also been lucky enough to be commissioned for some unique designs, and that is a nice source of income.

There is influencing, completing quests (every area has at least one), and aethercrafts. As part of an aethership crew, you work as a team to defeat monster and collect dust for the gnomes (I believe).

You can also use chess, blackjack, poker, and miniature fighting rings to interact.

Hi! As said I just moved in from Achaea, and I kinda need some help. Firstly, would anyone be so kind as to explain a few of the differences and what I will need to know?

Also, I think I'll need help picking a class (Guilds here I think). I would like my character to be a pacifist and nuetral aligned. The only class(es) I didn't have fun playing from Achaea were knights if that helps any. Any and all help would be great!

If you're a pacifist stay out of my city

Yeah stay out Magnagora if you are a pacifist. And stay away from Murphy. He likes to throw fits and kill novices that like to piss him off because they don't want to fight. pfft.gif No I'm just kidding, don't kill me Murphy. Anyways, yeah go Shadowdancer or Wicca. best bet.

Best thing about Lusternia is that trade skills aren't dependent on class (well, they are sort of, but not so much so).

The only limit on trade skills is:
You need either Elementalism or Cosmic to be an Enchanter.
You need Lowmagic to be an Herbalist or Poisonist.
You need Nature to be an Alchemist.

The other trade skills are free game, and that's great.

You forgot that you need Knighthood to be a Forger.

I just wanted to say I also am an Achaea convert and from what I've seen, I really like Lusternia. I don't know if I was just so used to Achaea or what, but Lusternia seems much more deep and intricate in all its ways. From city politics etc. I love the influencing aspect of it.

I don't mind combat at all, I got rather good at it actually, but it is nice to have other ways to affect the outcome of village loyalties etc.
