If anyone's bored and wants to save me the bother of making like 19 alts so I have one in each guild that can read files, I'd appreciate a random copy/paste of whatever guild systems people have to get from GR1-5 or whatever in a private message. Thanks in advance if you feel like helping.

I wanted something like that, so many times....

They should put it up in the halls of Justice.

Heh, well, it doesn't seem like it'd really be publically available information from an IC perspective, hence my asking here.

The Celestines.. There's a set of city related tasks and a separate set of Light related tasks to get from GR1-GR2. To get from GR2 to GR3 you have to undergo a Rite of Anointment, which is mostly RP. From there, you can follow one of four paths (each path is based on one supernals teachings), with different ranks in each, each rank having a few tasks. You must complete the first 2/3 ranks in each path, and all 3/4 in one (I don't remember if there are four or three total, and I can't login to look it up right now). Once you've done one or the other you get GR4 and once you've done both, you get GR5. At GR5 you have to undergo the Rite of Ordainment, assuming you've completed some separate requirements for that, and have been around long enough, and then you're a proper Celestine finally (also mostly RP).

If you want specifics, it would be a really long post with the four paths for Postulants and the two sets for Ecclesiars.

In Geomancers we have Apprentice Test, they have to do various tasks and 4 harder ones from a project that should theoretically relate to their choice of path in the guild.

On completing Apprentice, they are meant to choose a path: Earth (scholarship), Stone (combat), Sand (Leadership and Clay (Morale/Commerce). Each path has 4 stages, so they find their own way through the paths with each completed stage earning a favour.

Although I'm thinking of doing something like Celestines with two part favour, as Geo system only allows for one favour unless involved in other things. Can give more detail if needed.

The ebonguard has a system of set specific tasks that may be completed, which a robot could verify. These tasks can get you from gnt to gr10. i.e. objective tasks which could be coded into the game world if we were allowed to do such things.

Shadowdancers have The Triad to go from 1-3 (though sometimes to 4). Three parts, all very easy:

Part 1 = basic history (ie help files) guild beliefs (one ghelp scroll) and a simple ritual.
Part 2 = basic combat (like knowing writhe and focus body, how to diagnose to cure etc), vials and herbs, three spars
Part 3 = debate, basic fae influencing, rough knowledge of Ethereal/Faethorn

After that, you join a "circle" which is a more in-depth study of one of those three parts of the Triad. Usually the first task within a circle gets you to GR5. But we favour for lots of things, so there is no set formula to 5.

The Serenguard fail in this area. Too many elections means leaders cannot get any sort of system in place and working before another leader replaces them and tries to do it differently.

Anaria and Shorlen managed to sort out one that looks nice but hasn't been implemented as well as possible in the hartstone.

There are 6? major groups (stones), with 6? sub-groups that have a variety of tasks. The idea is that you should be able to complete any task and get a leader favour, the problem is that because they were just thrown into books last I saw they were just sitting there and no one would complete the task unless you pointed them to it directly.

I'm not sure how many people were able to pass others on tasks but I believe the Champ was considered the only one able to pass certain tasks.

Blackthorn--guild ritualism and ideology. A little over half the tasks require grouping with people other than your tester to force you to play nicely with your guildmates.

Rowan--influence, villages, and demesne basics

Hemlock--Combatology 101

Nihilists:
Urth exam for novice advancement:
- get to level 21
- have clothing and a pack
- description
- names of demonlords
- other stuff for extra advancement I didn't bother to look up

Penitent exam for a guildmaster favor and some other stuff:
- get a mentor
- know more about guild teachings
- donate 100 power and 5000 gold
- have enough skills to summon an imp, kill a rat and eat it
- have 10 of every herb, some potions, some enchantments
- pact with at least one demonlord
- understand influncing and go to Mag's villages

After that, you can get favours for teaching, helping the guild and defending Nil or giving sermons.
