Dio fronted Sabbath plus Alice Cooper and Queensryche. A friend and I will be going to September 5th show in Binghamton, NY. This will be the first time I've seen Dio solo or with Sabbath. Looking forward to hearing Lady Evil, Heaven and Hell, Sign of the Southern Cross. Heck, I'd go for just Alice or Queensryche.

Do yourself a favor and listen to Ritchie Blackmore's "Rainbow" album, and you will hear some Dio guitar genius.

I have all the readily available Dio discography including Rainbow and Elf. I'm a huge Dio fan (moreso than Ozzy) but oddly I've never seen him live.

Oooh! I misunderstood.
Sounds like a great show.

From what I've read Queensryche has been touring pretty successfully on Mindcrime II. They did a big stage production for it and were playing the album in its entirety. Empire was commercially their best but the original Operation Mindcrime is always going to be the classic Ryche album.
