Can you do the haven-thing to bubbles? 99% sure you can't tess there, nor can you tess to things like spirit plane.
Haven't found someone to test it yet! If I go from the help demigods file it should be possible since it explicitely says 'any' plane there. But then again, the prime regen for demigods is missing too, so it might be a typo
If you can it might actually be slightly useful but I still don't see myself tessing to people in either place often. Right now, it just sounds like a worse version of the aetherways. (Just as DF is an arguably better or worse version of serpent. Can't demigods get something unique?)

That sounds like a bug!
It is? It's been there from day one, and it makes sense too as the aetherways are supposedly adjacent to all other planes...

That's a bug? I always figured it was intended, the aetherways being between all the planes and stuff.
It's definitely not intended to be able to use the Aetherways to tesseract to any plane. An Aethership should be treated as adjacent to any plane that it's docked at, not to all planes.

does it? cause it's been that way since day one, I remember always explaining it as the aetherways being adjacent to all known planes because of aetherspace or some crazy thing. just can't tesseract from aetherways to bubbles, though I haven't really tested that with havens and even if you could with Havens it's not really much better since no one's gonna follow you. in any case I use refresh power just about every day, but I think it's lame that I can't refresh power once a day and refresh myself once a day. it really gives refresh me no use at all cause refresh power works like free power while refresh me costs essence when I can just use divine fire for a more guaranteed get out of jail free card at the same cost and I can't refresh others if I've refreshed power which is kind of lame.

We considered adding a special flavor lightning-bolt attack for Demigods that would be comparable to a mage staff for bashing (less so in PvP), but it was felt that Knights and Monks might feel that it was unfairly biased towards magic users since they would probably still be using their weapons as their main attack, and so it was passed over. However, if a majority of Demigods support the idea (or something similar) then I'm not opposed to bringing the idea up again.
I'll remove the indoors restriction on ascension to the havens since it's now on a timer. The length of the timer should be equal to (or a little shorter than) teleporting to your nexus - I'll check to verify and change it if it's longer.

Yesssss....make it a bit stronger, so I don't feel bad using it, and I'd be okay with it.

Tessing to people on bubbles might actually be realllllly cool.
And yeah, RP powers! I always thought it would be cool if like, Avatars, gained small, special RP powers. Like, Charune-Avatars a scrylike ability (Due to hunter and stuff), and, for example, Eloavatars able to shroud ordermembers in Twilight, giving them, effectively, a shroud.

I only use refresh power after I use Nightkiss.

How about things like minor blessings for other players with essence cost? Like fortuna in rituals adds a random stat +1, could give a +5-10% h or m or e boni for 1 hour, or a stat, or.. well anything.
Also, how about haven getting some additional exits to random places on prime. Might be really fun if they changed randomly every rl day too. The idea being that the haven is 'above' the basin and thus if you jump down you might land in a random (outside org territory plz) place.
And yes to whoever brought it up, demigod auras would be mightly awesome.
Lastly, I kind of agree on the lightning-bold attack. I really don't think I'd use it unless it has some special side effects or can be used off bal (since it uses eq but depending on the strength of the attack that might be too much).

Tessing from a manse being a bug? Something that's been done since the first day aetherways come out? How could this be a bug if it's been known about for so long? It makes sense, too - the aetherways are just one step away from any plane, and adjacent planes work for tesseracts.
Those Demigods that don't mind this - you have cubixes. One of the benefits for achieving Demigod for those who didn't was the haven power. It's easy enough to die as a Demigod - Haven was supposed to protect somewhat against this. Thunderclap removal was a needed change - how was haven imbalancing any more than a cubix?

Cubix costs 2000 credits. I agree that people shouldn't be able to get a similar power for free. Demigods should get cool abilities, but nothing that rivals the most expensive artifact they sell.
Unknown2007-08-31 16:41:19
You should be able to Tess from a manse docked on Prime to Prime. Otherwise you could get stuck. I've had to do that a few times when I found myself trapped.

Effectively removing one of the powers from use, a power that people spend 80+ rl days working for?
The benefit of the cubix, at least for me, is not the escape - it's the ability to quickly move from one place to another for raids, etc.
Unknown2007-08-31 16:43:31
They probably bring back tessing to any plane from the aetherways as a 1000 credit artifact.
EDIT: And I'm for keeping the aetherways 'bug'. Removing it makes transplanar travel incredible stupid and majorly annoying -especially- for communes.

I think it should be replaced with something else, and sped up a bit. I don't think we should just basically give all demigods a free cubix, though. They should have to pay the credits for that benefit. I don't have any problems with havens having a few exits in different places, and I think it should be faster than 18 seconds, but I don't see a huge problem with this. I think something else more unique should be put in its place. For example, I like the lightning bolt idea, though I'd like to see it modified a little. It would be fun for RP flavor if they could throw a lightning bolt at anyone in the local area, shown as an area emote. The bolt would not do a ton of damage (it should not be an area-wide combat move), but should do a little bit along with possibly some affects (maybe epilepsy). There could also be other things, like the ability to write world emotes at the cost of essence (relatively high to keep it from being abused).

generally I drawdown, refresh. Next day it's aethersight, bond with nature. Following comes hexaura, then channels, then hex sense, crone, mother. then powermask. then yellow and harvest continually plus maidens as needed.
demigod auras was my idea!

IT IS NOT A FREE CUBIX.
We have exits to prime. That's it. A prism gives exits to ethereal and elemental as well as prime. Our prime exits are only useful in reaching our respective cities/communes. Usually I just cubix to Celestia and transverse. It's faster.
I paid for it with my time. If they don't want my time, so be it.

Yes. All nine blessings at once, no problem.
