The clarify the reasoning for the change to ascend, the instantaneous escape of 'go haven' was too hard to stop for a defender, particularly in combination with divinefire. Nah, that's a passive effect. In the other IRE games grove lightning is an area-wide skill that hits an outdoor target with lightning.

all forms of being prone stopped a person from ascending to havens as far as i know? i think that's normally a strategy for keeping a person from... you know... walking away. only thing, as i mentioned, was perfect fifth being out of order with it

One thing that demigods should have but don't (I think) is immunity to forcing. Would be powerful though.

I wonder how often people will get zapped now. My first impression was: "I can't imagine Demis spending valuable essence just for the RP fun of zapping someone (as I don't believe the zap is awfully powerful)", but come to think of it, most Demis have bashed (and do bash) their brains out so most of them should have lots of essence to throw around, so I'm seeing lots of bright flashes in the future...

Well, unlike Elders, Demigods are still subject to Karma and Vengance I guess, so that would prevent them from going too crazy.

The zap isn't equivalent to a god's zap. Rather, it is a simple electrical damage attack (based partially on your skill in Magic).

Exactly which part of the zap is being customized? Only the area message?

You can completely customize all 5 messages (1st person caster, 3rd person caster, 1st person target, 3rd person target, and area message).

That zap skill really needs some sort of nerf to stop people abusing it, 10k essence is nothing for what it does.

Not sure the decrease to phoenix costs was really necessary either, it was pretty low as it was.

For example, would I use CONFIG_ZAP 1ST PERSON CASTER ?

Actually, you get one custom and have to have it approved, then it becomes your signature zap.

It wasn't clear from the help file if it affects more than one person though...

i wouldnt mind seeing demi auras as well. maybe some sort of ego boost with them around as it would bring moral up for the common soldier of omg super huge guy walking next to me on our side.

maybe an ego loss if enemy demi was there too and you didnt have one?
