Just not as loudly.
Ashteru did not quit for anything having to do with the guild. He quit because of the commune.

Although honestly, I bet you that Daganev has objectvly done things much worse than either Shayle or Xenthos, and he never gets blamed for anything
I blame a fair bit on you, you just aren't around enough.

Thank you!
edit: But seriously, it annoys me that Daganev, who has betrayed Viravain, removed people from the commune during elections, favoured people during elections, and a host of other clearly criminal things, (near the early years of glomdoring) didn't get any public forums complaints, but someone like Shayle, who has stopped me from doing such things in the past, and who affectivly broke up the Treeripper cabal of world domination, gets blamed for all sorts of terrble things. The worst complaints I got on the forums was when Nayl was marshal and gave out a few credits to guild master. (that was the least of the bad things we did)

Those meetings need a "peanut gallery" room. It's annoying that young people who want to be involved with the commune can't even watch; it just helps cement the elitist atmosphere at Glomdoring.
Unknown2007-09-03 03:16:04
So... what were the outcomes of the meeting?
Daganev2007-09-03 03:18:09
it literally started 5 minutes ago...
Unknown2007-09-03 03:22:23
Oh, bugger. Sorry, had my times mixed up, I assumed it was given in GMT for us internationals .
Well, hurry up and get on with it!

That is pretty frustrating. I can understand why Estarra wouldn't want literally the entire commune in one room, but it does effectively negate any input from the newer generations who seem to be experiencing the most difficulty.
Verithrax2007-09-03 04:01:14
Yeah. The people who seem to be the centre of the discussion (And the people who aren't cemented into the current cliques) are constantly excluded from Glom's political discourse - Not just the summit. I think the Court clan should be abolished, and all leaders should use CT to talk about commune issues.

I hope someone is logging, at least!
Daganev2007-09-03 05:06:10
edit: too close to actually what happened.
Unknown2007-09-03 05:07:43
Kick everyone from Glom! Let new people build it back up again from the ground!
New Generation ftw!
New Generation ftw!

Explosions.
Shadow people.
Emo poetry.
Wrist-slitting.
Dancing.
Drunken debauchery.
It was exciting.

The drunken debauchery was particularly good, as was the part where Estarra mentioned not giving us a monk guild.

I would but I really don't feel like cutting all the Bellator/DoK spam out of it.

nope, there was actually drunken debauchery too. Ironbeard showed up for synl.
Arix2007-09-03 05:28:33
what'd he get?
Xavius2007-09-03 06:03:02
There was no drunken debauchery, if that helps with parsing Shampoo's post.
As for me, I have ice cream near my keyboard, the orchids my girlfriend sent have migrated from the dining room to my bedroom, and I've logged out of Lusty. Happily.
That about sums up that meeting, I think.

Alas, I consumed my bowl of icecream before the meeting.
