So I'm considering ruining my Tahto eventually, once the stats and such get fixed and/or straightened out with them. Most people on the forum seem to have a lot of experience with runes and I am just wondering where my credits would best be spent. I do not as of yet plan on buying any, as I think I would rather try to earn them in game (which gives me more time to consider what runes to use) and THAT, ladies and gents of the forum world is why we are all gathered here today.
I understand that Monks have more than likely not been out long enough to make any definitive calls on runes but what do those with experience in the field suggest? Do +stat runes really make that much of a difference? I mean, It would probabaly take me 2 or more RL years to save up 1800 credits for 2 +15 stat runes. I guess a lot of people just do a +5 to make their item perm. I want to try and do things right by this, so if I am going to do it, I might as well get the best for my creidts. Suggestions?
Are bleeding runes worth it? Would 2 make it even better? How about damage runes, maybe fire/electric? Ideas, suggestions, criticisms?
Have at THEE!

Don't ruin it!
And no, I don't have anything helpful to say

A bleeding rune is an inexpensive way to just make a good weapon permanent and a little better, too. I'd say the damage modifier runes (fire, lightning, etc) are the biggest "bang for your buck," if you get the right ones. The +15 stat runes are nicer than the +5 or +10 (obviously), but for the cost, you may be disappointed.

I've been told from a few people that the stats on a monk weapon directly relate to the ability, so an extra 2 speed for a Tahto is 1% faster on each arm and such.

So it would really add up over time then... well, I have like 2 rl years to work on it I guess, but when you have 900 credits, I could probably get the same 'boost' by getting a Cameo and becoming a good monk arse-kicking race, rather than a +15 rune...
