hai, did you know that good swords can be worth well over a month of real life work forging, compared to one hour of hunting, did you further know that when you have conglut and die off prime it is only like 1 or 2 % and on prime you get this nasty thing call avenger status.

Ah I never heard of such a thing in the Celestines. It always has been a no stealing rule.

S.A.W. comparing theft to Supernal killing is one of the most ludicrous things I have ever heard of. If we went by that, when Celest killed Nil Lords every single day for a month, well that would have simply destroyed you.

Now, granted I don't agree with the theft of sentimental/personal items. Like when Anisu had her shopped robbed by Zalana, and she lost personal stuff. Or when Sybl robbed that Glom shop and stole personal items.

That stuff is wrong. But the theft of things like herbs/comms/kegs although not nice, is not as bad as losing some of the more personal things. And Anisu has a point, forging weapons can take weeks upon weeks of RL forging to get one decent weapon. So trying to compare it to exp loss is again a joke.

Sorry you got jacked Ixion, see what you can do with the Celestines about it IG, or work on another angle of hiring Yrael out to grief rob people again or something until you are paid back... I dunno, I am sure that something can be agreed upon.

I'm not sure anyone is saying the theft is fine. More that Ixion is being a tad hypocritical in his outrage against it given that he himself is a thief. (EDIT: And as Verithrax pointed out, a thief that bragged about it on forums )

In a more general sense it's a situation of quid pro quo. At one point in time players were willing to not only refrain from stealing themselves but put pressure on their peers not to steal as well - as long as other players did the same. However as time went on and it became clear that some players really could care less if their peers were thieves, so other players stopped making the effort as well. So now it's more of a situation of most players sticking to the high ground of not being thieves rather than the higher ground of not being thieves and also not tolerating thieves. Sucks but there's no changing it now.

hmm well I came up with a really easy way to steal. and it's really not so preventable. Hopefully no more full time thieves emerge that think of this though. Not sure whether or not to idea for a change on it since the whole thieving thing doesn't actually seem to be a huge problem around here.
