I wonder if US colleges are the same as ours, in that you have maybe one must attend class each week, and then you can bugger off, but there are many tutorials in which to expand on what you've learned, and develop it further?
Or at least, that is the way Charles Stuart does it.

Art major. Was a mental health major before, but realized that I am too mental to help the mental. No idea what art will do.

IRE games aren't inherently US-centric, I don't think. There's certainly an advantage to playing in the US time zone, but that's not something IRE can do anything about. Hurray for British English in designs! IRE games are obviously very Western-centric, though.
I was just pointing out that lots of college systems don't have majors. Australia's doesn't. (Well, we use the word "major", but it's not the same thing as you're thinking of.)

We do kinda, you do have to get a 'major' in whatever degree you do, which is about 80cp or something.
Also yay for HECS like Yrael said, just annoying it cuts out after 2 degrees.

Animation is fun! I graduated with a degree in Computer Animation and love it.
While 3D animation is certainly getting most of the spotlight recently and 2D animation is getting rarer and rarer...I think I'd have more fun working on 2D animation. Especially on stuff like Avatar But I can't afford school, so it's a dream for another lifetime

I'm double majoring in computer science and math. I was going to add a security focus, but then I'd have to stay in school an extra year. So I elected to graduate this semester instead (a half year early )
Wish my school offered world domination majors though, I might have gone for that instead.

Lots of tech-savvy people here! Well no surprise heheh. I'm in something called Global Health, which combines I guess health sciences with a broader social perspective.
Xiel2007-09-07 01:25:37
Double majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing as well as Graphic Arts. Yay art.
Edit: @Shou I'm far from being tech-savvy....I couldn't even activate my atm card properly and had to resort to asking the operator to walk me through it.

Graduated nearly 11 years ago with a 4-year degree in Computer Science (B.S. in C.S.). Nearly completed a minor in German, too.
Moriana2007-09-07 02:10:28

Still in high school, but I'm planning on majoring in computer sciences and minoring in physics when I get to college.

Not currently a uni kid. Will be at the end of the year; but was working out there as the resident tech head. Which was bloody weird, considering the places teaches IT and stuff like that. I meant that while I worked there, the structure was you had one, two classes a week that were mandatory attendance, depending on course. And then there were lots of tutorials and the like that were optional and expanded on what you learned in those ones, incase you didn't understand it.
