Hello!
I've tried Lusternia a few times, though I never really found a niche, but I think I've finally gotten addicted through my current character, Tuiryn. There are a couple of things I would like to know, however.
Tuiryn is currently a Druid, of Hartstone. I don't really plan to purchase credits OOCly for him, since my funds are needed elsewhere. With him being a Faeling, do you think it would still be possible to enjoy hunting and PK, without purchasing enough credits to become Transcendent in many skills, if any?
I believe I'll be able to Trans at least one skill in-game, through commune credits and such, but I really didn't know if that would be enough.
Thanks in advance!

A starting goal for you, get Cudgel which is 50% Fabled. Or go for Sap which is the next skill following.
It'll be tough for you, but you'll manage.

I've had great success as a Hartstone druid, buying only $40 dollars worth of OOC credits, and half of those I gave away.
So far I have Gloves of Harvesting (300 cr), and Trans Druidry and Trans Stag.

Thanks! I was planning on focusing most of my lessons into Druidry, to help make hunting a bit easier. Is there a goal I should have in Stag? I have up to Greenman, or Ringwalk, whichever is after the other, along with Teleport in Planar.

Bonding is pretty nice to have in Stag, just to help out the guild with security, and it's the next skill after Greenman.
Other than that, not a whole lot of stuff until later in the skillset.
Also, get Yellow in lowmagic, to help boost your Con a little.

Deschain makes good suggestions, but you'll want cudgel to hunt with. Sap to fight with. Get Bonding as well, as you'll help Seren defense. Once you have those, you might like going for Lightning in Stag as it's a level 1 equilibrium bonus.

Mm, yes. I really want Lightning in Stag, but I figured it was going to be out of reach for a long while. I managed to get Bonding, too, with some lessons from leveling.

If you happen to be an herbalist, you'll be able to earn gold for credits easily enough. In the time I've been an herbalist, I think I've earned about 3,000 credits from sales of herbs alone. (It was my first trans skill and I bought the gloves before too long.)
The medicine bag in Stag is worth getting, too.

There's lots worth getting, the best thing to do now knowing some (believe me there's more! ) options is to set goals on what you want first and go for those. Don't set yourself too high or it'll get tedious. Good luck!
Ask the Hartstone if you need any help, they are really good to their members.

Was about to say, Medicine bag is 66% fabled, and it really is worth every and each lesson you put into stag.
(Btw, Zarquan, do you know if Medicine bag is supposed to cure more wounds as well? I heard it was supposed to, but I am not sure)

RUN! RUN BEFORE THIS GAME CONSUMES YOUR LIFE AND DEVOURS YOUR SOUL! YOU HAVE BEEN WAAAAARNEEEEEEED! *shakes arms menacingly*

Ah, good, I bugged it right then. <.< Thanks mate.
Hm, you could always try to get into the Calas clan, it's some sort of ooc combat clan where we help each other. If you join it, you can profit from my immensly big knowledge of Lusternia!

Heh. I like the ones that offer help for payment. Thanks, but no thanks, I wrote my own description and I'm very pleased with it.
I've actually been an Iron Realms junkie for a couple of years, now, though I've just finally gotten to where I can understand Lusternia.

We're glad to have you! All IRE players find their way to Lusternia eventually, never to be seen or heard of from the outside world again.
Let me know if you have any other questions (Derian in-game). I'm not a druid, but I've been several other class, and I'm at least a Seren so you don't have to look like you're getting help from an enemy. And I'm clearly more knowledgeable and approachable than noobs like Ashteru.
