Can't say I'd mind being able to see what the envoys are posting and vetoing. If nothing else, because I'm always curious.
Yeah, same here.
Furien2007-09-25 00:38:23
One possibility would be to make the wiki open, but restrict account creation on an approval basis.

This would be what I was angling for and probably what others were.

Yes. Except the ideas forum is for opinions on a particular idea. You see how this works now? I post my opinion on it, in this case, an affirmative, in the hope that with enough people continuing to do so, it happens. Then EVERYONE IS BLOODY WELL HAPPY.
Edit: And feedback. Opinions and feedback.

SO BE HAPPY, POX TOKEN!
I too would like to be able to see the envoy wiki.

Sheesh, you don't see people getting pissy because people are -agreeing- with them often.
Yrael2007-09-25 01:24:09
tYou see people getting pissy when it's a "well duh, this is what everyone else said, bit late lol" post.
Furien2007-09-25 01:36:36
Hey Yrael, I can't help but wonder if people want to see the envoy wiki. I get the feeling I should bring it up with the other envoys but I DON'T KNOW IF YOU PEOPLE WANT IT ENOUGH.
Xavius2007-09-25 01:50:32
Veto.
Now what?
Now what?

Time to start collecting votes. Oh, what a horrible, horrible man.
Xavius2007-09-25 01:53:44
Yes, well, since this is the general public, I think you need two thirds of the general forum population. 3178 votes. Get to it.

I would like to ++ my "Horrible, horrible man" declaration. Thank you.

I believe there were complaints last time the wiki was not password-protected, because people were getting yelled at in-game... something like that.

This is an inevitable drawback, but it's understandable for players to want to know what's going on with the envoy system, especially when they have no idea what their envoy is doing nor any way of replacing them if they're not doing it properly. Plus some amount of transparency helps keep people honest and at least a little unbiased, which some envoys (no names) could stand to suffer a little more of.
Shamarah2007-09-25 02:18:41
I guess we could always make a forum thread to plop all the envoy suggestions on. We need to override Xavius's veto first though.

I veto that.
Just kidding.
I support the override.

This was brought up in Achaea before, and the general consensus was that people would then start harassing envoys IG, start making threads on the general forums like 'Why X should not be nerfed', and general, "OMG WHY ARE YOU DOING THAT *starts rant threads*" comments.
Even if the people can see what goes on in there, it won't stop them from posting somewhere else.
I'd like private forums rather than the wiki though, and I wouldn't be opposed to letting more knowledgeable combatants that aren't envoys having access as well.

I trust that you obviously have no clue as to the actual suggestions Ethelon works for, then.
Unknown2007-09-25 04:02:29
