I don't think anyone said anything about moderates.
Yeah..just in politics the fighters seem to have little interest in negotiating since alot of people are attracted to the pk elements and Forren + Revan = conflict, although alternative Forren + Murphy = conflict too. My opinion though, but some fighters may actively rp the idea of peaceful relations without needing to have a different view.

It's just another arena for conflict and RP, really. Manipulations, deals, alliances forming and breaking, etc.
But, mostly, I'm just wanting to see an Ambassador Kalodan demanding that an aide bring him more of those "Taint-blighted cream-cheese danishes" from the juice and pastry tray.

If the Moonhart Circle replaced me with Kalodan...

It's just what I thought of when I thought of Ambassadors who weren't moderates.

Overall, I think Ambassadors should be automatic Chancellors (or something to that rank) within the city. Ability to read the logs and appoint teachers to the collegium (rogue ones, at least). The problem that I do see with that sort of thing is that it can get messy.
As regards to the 10 hour graduate thing -- that I completely agree with. It would be ridiculous to make people spend 48 hours as newbies for collegiums and guilds. While 10 hours is not a very long time, it's long enough to get things across and to meet people as a novice. This game, in all honesty, is not quite as addicting as Achaea is -- you can QQ and not feel guilty about it, and don't get sucked into it, blink once, and wonder where the last 6 hours went. Lusternia has a nice pace, which works well with collegiums and novice time graduate thingies.
I'm tired so my apologies if this post wasn't very coherent. It's far too early in the morning for me.
