I forgot the name. Something like pestilence. You spit out bugs that follow the lich. Fine, I'll go look up the name.

Contagion, that's it. All the lovely little bugs. You know, that thing that killed you all at the beginning of the game because nobody had liniment?

Ahhh. Scabies. Lethal.

Coldaura isn't half bad in choke either.

Ha ha, I made tons of gold selling liniment to everybody.

I still don't understand why Choke can't disappear when the caster dies. Shadows can be released into a room without the room being choked, right? So, why can't Choke be removed and the shadows still remain? Somehow, I just don't believe the statements about it being impossible (or difficult) to code fixes to Choke that involve removing it when the caster dies or limiting it to a single elevation.

I have to agree. I've never seen the code, but it's obvious that shadows and choke are saved as separate states. Unless there is some horrible design issue, it seems like it should be easy enough to clear the choked state and leave the shadows in the room if the caster dies. Even if there is a horrible design issue, I can't imagine one that would make this incredibly difficult.

If shadows would have to disappear then why not? I can think of one room effect that stays after the caster dies. That's the stag spirit totem. Dark goes, rainbowgasm goes, ancestral curse. So what if bonds and brumetower go too then. But that's just reason speaking, the real me wants choke to be permanent

I have no real problems with shadows disappearing upon death.

It'd be pretty annoying, though.

Krellan has a good point, though. It would be annoying, but no more so than losing ancestral curse, dark, demesne effects, bard songs, or any of the other room effects. I think spirit totem should go away when the caster dies too - might as well be consistent.
