Can anyone tell me the emotes they use for each emotion? I know there's a list, but reading through ten solid pages of emotes is a bit much. I just want to know what emotes to use of anger, suprise, bordom, awkwardness, sadness, happiness-that kind of thing.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I have two, smart-aleck responses to that. Both begin with, "I like to use custom emotes for everything, personally."
SAR 1:
For instance:
ANGER - Xinemus points the puffy wing of his giant kestrel suit at you in malediction.
SAR 2:
They give you a lot more flexibility in conveying exactly the right nuance your character is feeling at the time. For instance:
ANGER - Xinemus conveys a great sense of anger utilizing his facial expressions and gestures.
SURPRISE - Xinemus conveys a great sense of surprise utilizing his facial expressions and gestures.
And so on.

Well... it's kind of a personal preference which emotes folks use to display different emotions. Some folks even free-form emotes.
But the simpliest emotes for emotions are pretty common sense... just think... what do you do when you're happy? You smile. So... smile.

I like to use more personalized emotes. Moreso when some of the existing ones just don't quite fit right. The difficulty here is that such emotes cause you to lose balance, but I see why, so abilities aren't faked in combat.
Like, one I'll commonly use is "Akui grins toothily", or simply "Akui returns the bow", since the "curtsey" emote seems grossly out of place for her.

Surprise:
blink
wtf
eep
Boredom:
picknose
nodoff
yawn
Awkwardness:
erm
blush
Sadness:
cry

Amusement: sparkle, grin
Anger: narrow, forestcast thornlash x4, wield cudgel (works best when you unwield it back at home)
Annoyance, unusual action: peer, murmur
Awkwardness: shuffle, askance
Boredom: cwho, gwho, who, more, more, more, nstat, look, cwho, gwho, observe, cwho, topguilds (Xavius, as a character, does not substantially experience boredom--he's a student of Crow and a demesne-holding combatant. Closest you'll get is annoyance at being pinned down.)
Frustration: frown
Greeting: incline
Happiness: twinkle, beam
Pleading: hope

I forget who it was, but I had a non-newb think I was chasming them with hatred

You know what would be really helpful... a fansite/wiki that categorized and displayed all the emotes.
Arix2007-10-10 15:18:02
maybe something on Scrying Pool?
Arel2007-10-14 16:11:17
I used to do custom emotes where Arel would change colours depending on his mood, but then I got lazy. Sometimes I emote playing my instrument in a certain manner. If you really want good range, you have to use custom emotes, though Lusternia does have hundreds of stock ones.

How do you view emotes that are special to your org/guild/race?
Diamondais2007-10-14 16:31:38
You kind look down the list for anything that seems different.

Well, do you know what the Hartstone/Elfen/Seren ones are?

Elfen, no. Seren doesn't have one I don't think. Hartstone is Invokehart.
