The only advantage to a tradeskill is getting to make up stupid advertisments for the market channel rolleyes.gif

It was just a question, I wasn't being sarcastic or anything

And why is battle the only sort of conflict anyone seems to think of? What about political conflict? Social conflict? Not that battle isn't important, and fun and all that, of course.

Not that I don't think fighters should be allowed to have their fix.

Focus less on this and more on automated klangratch queue.

You obviously don't get how boring it is to log on and realise your a combatant.. and the only thing you can do is bash... it gets horribly boring and makes me not want to play anymore so I log off or start a conflict.

I try and get you to go slay some Cacophony, but nooooooooooooo.

I think we need to decentralize the four nations. Make their 'loyal' territory which is stuffed with guards/totems smaller, maybe 1/4 of the whole communes for example, and then have the remaining area still theme-wise part of the nation but not completely controlled and protected. And I don't see why there needs to be powers to prevent melding allied planes, or to cause area-wide afflicting to enemies. It would be better if angels/fae/demons were just much, much harder to kill, while having preferred quests that weaken them or steal them to another org.

I also think avenger can be loosened up on Prime, especially if we can simultaneously encourage people to spend more than 10% of their time outside protected territory.

And we need to stop with the nation v nation conflict areas/quests with hardcoded sides. Certain nations have already become far too insular for the game's health, we should be trying to open up the dimensions and possibilities of conflict.

Wildnodes is always between Celest/Mag. At most you get a total of 10 serens/gloms combined. In any case, I'm looking forward to the next one since this will be the same scenario and I think it'd be interesting to team up with Gloms. In the last one, it was about to be a group of Mags and Serens plus Shamarah, which would've made for an interesting fight against Celest.

Not always. Glom's managed to win once, and gotten second / put out a good showing a number of times.

Cities do have a pretty hefty advantage, though.
Krellan2007-10-11 22:46:38
heh, but if we go that far back, Seren's managed to win once or twice tongue.gif
Anyways the last like ten or so have been all cities, and I'm hoping to the cities start out again, and Gloms actually show up so we can team up and show the cities who's boss. The only lame thing is that Celest is the only city that uses shrine powers to defend during wildnodes. Though I suppose Mag probably used them too when they actually had a shrine. Now they just can't.

Seren's never won it to my memory. They always help either Mag or Celest, and I've only seen them put forth a good shot on their own once.

i looked at the first page and didn't glance at the others but my suggestion is a max number of guard per room, the admins wants team based gaurd killing from what i get so i think if 5. or so guards are max in the room with a health upgrade maybe it would stop people from soloing off hours but its still group killable.

Thank you for trying to kill me while running from Mag and Celest....
Unknown2007-10-12 00:39:50
I understand that guards are relatively expensive, but only if you feel the need to protect every area, even the ones that offer very little benefit. Most villages don't even need guards, the worst anyone can do is kill the villagers (oh no). Besides that, the orgs have insane amounts of power, it wouldn't hurt any of them to go negative for awhile to protect what they think is vitally important.

EDIT: Why do I keep saying bards instead of guards?

Well for some reason I feel like we definately have one once or twice. I definately recall the Glom win. The Seren ones I'm thinking of are even further back. Of course I could all be imagining this and just mistaking it for decent scores compared to our normal zero's. And I always try and steal nodes when I help Mag or Celest sad.gif I remember one time back when Derina was a mage, I sat on capricorn just talking with him while he guarded a node and I just stole it in front of him and lol'ed.

I think you're imagining it, tbh-- though Seren has gotten second a couple of times, I don't remember first. But it is kind of rigged against Communes, so...
Krellan2007-10-12 19:04:37
Yeah, I probably am. I don't see how it's aganst communes really. Maybe more so for glom since no one drains scorpio. But I mean we could easily gather the fighters to do it, People just don't in Seren for one. Even the normal people who actually fight don't play wildnodes. It's kind of lame. I'm really hoping to group up with some Gloms though this next one (assuming Seren has a "team" with no chance again) winkwink.nudge.
Rika2007-10-12 19:07:03
Think Xenthos is talking about how we need astroglide to get to our spheres, while the cities can just transverse, accessible to everyone.
