Anyone else seen this yet? It was absolutely fantastic, I thought; the singing was wonderful and it was deliciously weird without overdoing it.

I actually heard it was a terrible movie , but I still want to see it.

I really want to see it. A friend said it was great. I just need to find a theater that is showing it, and then figure out a way to get to it. Not always an easy task.

I think it's a love it or hate it movie. A lot of critics didn't like it, Roger Ebert gave it 4 stars though.

You beat me to it! The showing I saw started at 7:10, and I just got back. I got on here to post a thread about it, and in my head I already has the topic title, "Across the Universe was AMAZING!"
It really was, though. I was so into it from the point where the old man working in Liverpool mentioned sixty-four. The movie had incredible style, and it was like having Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin, and the Beatles living together.
EDIT: The bowling alley scene and the "helter skelter" scene were probably my favorites. Saidie's hair was insane in the second one.

A little bit of a necro but I just saw this last night. This has probably been one of the best movies I have seen in a while. I heard mixed reviews about it and just decided on a whim to go with one of my friends and I was beyond amazed. I loved the music and they all did such a good job with the singing. My favorite scenes were probably the trippy circus scene and the strawberry scene.

I *LOVED* the movie. It wasn't like the typical "pothead" or "hippy" view either. This movie actually had a good story. I'm going to watch it again.
The plus of me working at my movie theatre is that I get Across the Universe hats and shirts

One of my friends got to be an extra in this movie! I still haven't seen it, but I'll have to just to see if I can pick her out.
