Just a poll for all of us who regularly use one weapon rather than two.
Due to the increased number of criticals, do you hunt creatures with 2 1-handed weapons or merely use a speed version of a two-hander?

Two-hander. It's far better than using weapons you aren't specialized with, imo. The minor crit advantage of two weapons is probably reversed and turned into a bit of a disadvantage if you aren't specialized with them...not to mention a possible damage-to-mobs decrease (though I'm not sure on this part).

I remember hearing this some time ago but never verified.
Is it true that absent not being able to do the certain attacks and wounding, that you handle any weapon the same in terms of missing once trans any of the 4 specialities?

I use my axe for hunting, and I like it very much. I don't like using one handers, not one bit. If I wanted to use two one-handed weapons, I would have specialized in those.

i think pb is way easier than bm as im almost positive they dont have to knowingly raze a shield'd target.

I don't know, but that seems kind of dumb if it's the case.

It does not automatically cleave when necessary. You can cleave mobs, but it takes as long as a raze and hit combined. It's really only useful during bashing when the PB on the last hit of a mob and the mob shields.

Hey,
Pureblade/Axelord hunting is a little easier since you just switch to cleave if they're shielded and continue on your way.
But I've found that one handers are at a major disadvantage when bashing in a group, as an Aslaran BC I gain more experience bashing in a group than I ever did as a Human PB or AL. Seems it may have something to do with the number of hits I'm landing. Since I've tried all four specs have to say I prefer using two weapons to hunt.
Oh and Tandrin you will definitley miss more if you use a weapon you're not specialised in. So bashing as an AL with Hammers or Rapiers rather than a Klangaxe would probably be slower as you'd miss more.
