If we lived in a world where everyone would have gotten it if I'd just said "me too", we'd live in a world where this would never come up in the first place.
True enough.

how about a elemantal plain where all the elements start to merge together youll have continent of ground thats covered in a mud type substance underwater forests maybe underwater forests on fire? or some such and every lusternian year the major goal is to cause your element to be the most dominate to empower the prime elements plane. thus causing more water nymphs to exist in the mixed land over rock golems, ents -treebread style-
and shadow spirits.
and shadow spirits.

What about ones on cosmic etc that where connected to cities of old? you could have the ruins of Glomborolum, of Alin'dor, its great pyramid in ruins

That would be awesome as well.

And what about if we where to find that the basin wasn't the only place left, and there was a nexus and a plane connecting to a new place on prime, but halfway around the world?
Unknown2007-10-13 01:23:13
I think the planar setup in Lusternia favours players in a city immensely, and so it seems unwise to spend too much coding time on extending them. New planar areas are fine, of course, as long as they have nothing to do with nations - no fae areas, no angel/demon hideouts, no spirits of the forest/taint/light etc.
Personally, I'd prefer prime was made more feasible for conflict and player dispersion, than the planes noticeably extended. They seem fine as the primary dimension of nation v nation stuff.

Those cities did not have nexuses. They had edifices of power. Which are sort of like nexuses but useless for getting to other planes.

Actually, one wonders... how deadly is the land outside the basin? Considering nobody's been out since at least a thousand years... perhaps it would be possible to get to the old edifice of power from Aetherspace, since its a 'copy' of the basin, in a way
Callus2007-10-13 23:16:35
As I'm sure the Divine are too busy now (and will be for a while), I won't even make a suggestion, but I will say that the Planes do seem too small. Basically agreeing with the 'there are some aethermanses larger than Earth' argument. It is quite feasible...

I do think that we need to expand outwards soon, it might be just me but the basin is starting to feel a little cramped. We have found previously unexplored places in almost every location in the basin, I would really find it quite hard to believe that there are any more large areas in there. We have also gone downwards with the Undervault and upwards (inwards? in the same location but in a different phase/frequency/vibrational energy?) with the planes and aetherspace. I definitely think we should consider looking ouside the basin. Borrow some Sandojin and ride across the desert to freeedommmmm!
Finding a ruined city sounds great. I vote for giant ruined pyramids at the edge of the skarch desert!

Or we find that, oops, Gaudiguch exploded and Hallifax crashed, and no new cities to Lusty, unless we rebuild them with resources and Power.
Saran2007-10-14 16:00:12
hum, I wonder if it were possible to do the old cities but on prime by some method that would also place them "beyond the eyes of the avenger" or even in aetherspace (without a dock maybe) and connected to prime.
Could throw artifacts out into the basin, after being erected into a shrine or somesuch thing they can be touched to take you to the city(multiple entrances preferable) Could be nice especially if it meant we'd eventually have a small area showing us a little bit about the Vernals
