I wouldn't want Lusternia to get timeshifted 1500 years into the future. That would Suck Rather Hard.

I do want a "reboot" in terms of major revamping, however. There are a lot of things about Lusternia that really need to be completely re-designed, not just patched, in order to make Lusternia a viable, long-running game with cyclical, dynamic tension that will keep players interested and engaged. I have some ideas regarding this, and will be attempting to write them out into a post on the Ideas forum when I get the time.

I've been of the mindset that Lusternia needs a major plot change for about a year now. Something huge. Burn a forest. Destroy a city. SOMETHING. All these yin-yang meaningless conflict quests are losing their appeal. More than anything, I think the game needs an aesthetic change to make it more unique and distinctly more Lusternian. A few things off the top of my head that really bother me about the game: Angels and Demons, the "Light", the guild names of the 'Paladins' and the 'Nihilists', IDK, assorted stuff. I would play Lusternia 2.0.

You really couldn't get rid of guilds, because some people have invested alot of real money in those things (including skills). There could be legal issues, even if everyone was given a complete refund.

Armageddon is doing something similar to this with Armageddon Reborn.
