I've never bothered sparkling or scrolling, and I didn't actually get a chance to run away. Suddenly spam started appearing on my screen, and then I was baked.

Yeah, that's what could have saved you. You had a few windows to get out or ghost, which would have been the best thing to do there. Don't fight hyperactive monks, ever. If they hyperactive out of the room (the best plan) so you can't see, you should notice them attacking at the speed of light, so you gotta run as soon as you get out of the grapple.

Woah. Either hyperactive monks are really overpowered, or your system is REALLY slow. Your triggers input ~5 commands and she attacks again before you're done with them?

At any rate, you could have simply ran away/shielded after the first form. Shofangi arm grapples don't prevent moving or eq-based actions.

Their grapples don't? Now I feel sillier than normal. And no - Palisade is slow (faster than most, though) but it's not that slow. As I said, around eight seconds, give or take two.

That honestly doesn't make sense.. what do you do if you walk out while armgrappled? Do you just lose the grapple, or something?
