Well sir, I must say that is quite the dubious statement. Do you have any evidence to support your preposterous claim?
Yes.

If you want bashing craziness-tankiness, etc etc.. Geomancer Telekinetic as a Faeling or high CHA race (preferably not Elfen or Merian obviously) would be recommendable. Forcefield is godly for bashing.
Nihilists aren't bad, Thoros was definitely fast as one and he could tank with Putre, but he'd tell you that sometimes putre (more often than not) can get you killed if you get in over your head. That being said, they're probably so-so when it comes to bashing.
Mugwump Cacophony, you need only look at Estwald to see the bashing machine that he is. TaintedLove is -extremely- good for support, provided you're bashing while standing in Taint. Borrow a Geomancer to Taint an Astral sphere or something. It's insanely good. Along with Glamours, you have some vestiges of tankiness as well. Cacophony make a good combat class as well.
Ur'guard. It depends on your race, spec, and level mostly. If you're a Necromancer with Archlich, you'll have an edge because +2 Str and +2 Int is nice. Human Warriors are typically bashing machines at later levels. Though at earlier levels, warrior bashing is kinda slow. Though maybe not as slow as a Nihilist's, it depends. Putrefaction coupled with stuff like Fullplate is here, and that definitely adds to your tanky factor.
Overall, I think Geomancer's have a great guild. Telekinesis takes some skill to fight with PvP more so than Cacophony, in my opinion. Though out of all the Magnagora guilds out there, I have to put the Geomancer's on top.

You mean autumn.
And yeah, human+harmony+autumn = crazy xp gain.

Err...quick thing. I thought that the experience gain is capped at level three like all the other buffs people encounter? Elswise, as a Human Moondancer, Human + Autumn + Harvest + Harmony = Level 5. True or not?

Hrm, I never really thought about it. I thought I was noticing a difference, but it could all be in my head. I gain so little these days it would probably be ideal if someone else tested this.
Shiri2007-10-24 15:37:53
Having been a human moondancer with harmony, I -definitely- noticed the difference between using harvest or not, or using autumn or not. Both occupied a minority of the time I spent bashing though, so when I had both I couldn't really compare it fairly to having only one or the other.
Ildaudid2007-10-24 16:31:44
Yea I don't think exp has a level 3 cap, I do notice that autumn does no good on aetherbubbles. I have never seen a difference with autumn up or not while bashing a bubble, but I see the difference when bashing astral.

well all be darned....it does do the same amount of damage. When did this happen?!

I disagree on the point with telekinesis. It's not very useful for PvP; Narsrim does okay with it, but he's Narsrim. It's incredibly hard to get a kill using telekinesis against anyone who can cure. It's also nice for hunting, but not as good as you would think. A lot of creatures do partially % based damage which will be based off of your ego, so it will drain quickly if you have alot. Also, mages get very few defenses. Moondancers/warriors/nihilists/etc. will always be tankier than any mage, even with telekinesis, even if they are a weak race like mugwump.

Are you basing this opinion on the new or old bursts? Now it's a lot easier to bleed people to death if they don't/can't run - I haven't ever heartbursted anyone simply because the bleeding (and claws, and demesne) killed them by about 8-10 vessels.
...Unless they nerfed it again, when I wasn't looking.

When it was initially coded. Upping guardian bashing speed was the entire point of their introduction.
Ceren2007-10-24 21:51:05
I guess that makes warriors the gods of bashing since I definitely noticed an increase in killing speed upon switching from Celestine to Paladin (and I only had 1 more str as a Paladin than I had int as a Celestine, so I doubt that was much of a factor).

Actually, the new gods are monks now. One alias and off you go.
