Asides from Magnagora, which I'm NOT willing to buy credits for gold to pay off all of those fines, the other two should be simple fines for unenemying, if I were even given a fine amount I would have just paid it, and been done, and stopped doing things like helping to overrun the alabaster road with fiends, opening the gorgog rift, killing joiya. But for all the people who bitch about me and how they wish I would not be such an asshole they sure as don't give me any god damn fine to pay to get me off the asshole list!
Simply put, if I'm gonna be enemied, I act like an enemy, so I'm gonna kill your things, your people, your villagers and all that, I'm gonna do quests that hurt you, your nexus and anything else, cause that's how enemies act. You want me to stop, you want me to resume some semblence of courtesy with you idiots then do like you do for 90% of the other people who are enemied and give me a god damn FINE!

I'm not a combatant or anything but if I were one I think I'd have more fun keeping you an enemy and attacking you every time you thought you were really "hurting" an organization with your one man war.
Then again like I said. I don't fight
Shiri2007-10-19 13:37:03
Short answer: they give people a fine when you stop wanting to be an enemy. It's YOUR fault, so the onus is on YOU to behave yourself so they can consider it anything other than a waste of time.

Eh ,Typing doesn't matter so much to me anymore, I already know from my past days of bashing it will result in massive carpel tunnel.

Err Sano, or the incarnations of Sano, when he was on a roll??
As for Asmoth, man last night I was bashing listening to you shout. I was half tempted to come down and kill you to just shut you up. I didn't though, but my point being, as a monk, you rely on endurance to perform alot of the forms, so try not to shout your endurance away before a fight. It may work in your favor next time. (Except with Geb, I am pretty sure Broomhilda (his pet) is buff enough to solo you. Let alone trying to fight him AND ol Broomy)
Sorry, back on topic....
Yeah, umm nothing to say yet. Waiting to talk to Murphy about some ideas for pre-reqs for anyone who wants to ascend in mag.

If a pet which according to help pets isn't supposed to be any major help in combat, is able to solo me, a monk with 4kish health. I need to know how many credits those cost and I'll buy one next pay day...

His pet is special, the only one of its kind that he won in an auction, it casts stupidity, no other pet can. (But it probably can't kill you solo) It can however cause you to break alot of your kata forms as it hits with stupidity at the right times

Yet ANOTHER case of divine favoritism!

I love it. I don't think "I'm going to keep raiding until they let me get unenemied" is a winning strategy.

Soraka?
And I'm finding it more and more that he really is thick. Unless Shiribot got through to him since he hasn't really posted a reply to him yet.

Going back on the main topic here... I'm gonna post my 2 cents worth on the whole Ascended Mortal thingie-ma-gigger-thing.
After reading over the Admins' reasoning, I have to agree.
I also have to agree that the cult thing isn't a good idea. They're still mortals when all is said and done. They're not a divine. They're above Demis, but they're still mortal I think. Perhaps being an Ascended person in an Order gives different things, and if the Elder who runs the Order wants to make an Avatar out of the Ascended, it's slightly different then with Demis.
Overall, I think it's a nice idea. Once the way Ascendeds are going to work out is ironed out, I think it proves an interesting twist. Requireing all the council members means that they really have to weigh the options, how loyal to the org is the person? Does it look like his/her activity is waining? etc etc.
Overall, I like it!
Yay Divines!

If the voting for an Ascendant must be unanimous, the process should probably be limited to at least CR2+.
And getting unenemied to Serenwilde is a long process. *peer Sarra/Kalo*

There's not really any reason to limit that mechanically. If all of the leaders want to choose someone from CR1 for some strange reason, they should be able to. I can't imagine it ever actually happening, but I don't know why it can't happen.
Noola2007-10-19 18:05:03
I'm really looking forward to seeing what sort of criteria the cities/communes come up with, myself. Will they make a big event out of choosing? Have a series of contests and trials that potentials will have to compete in to prove their worth? Tests of skill and knowledge? Would the person have to be nominated by a certain amount of other citizens? Or would each council member pick someone from a pool of people wanting it and then they'd each have to convince the others? Or will it be a secret ballot with only the potentials and the Council knowing for sure who's even up for it?
It's kind of cool really!
I hope the cities and communes make a really big deal out of choosing. It's so important a decision and rather life-changing for whoever gets picked and all.

I meant the voting should be limited to CR2+.
But I believe I misunderstood, and only the GMs + Leader can vote, anyways.

I want to know what kind of powers they'll have.
Will these powers use Essence or Power?
Will the VA have a huge pool of power (more than a mortal could hold)?
Will they be able to get more power from the Nexus to fuel their needs?
What kind of powers could they have? Estarra said no "individual combat powers", so I assume if anything combat-related would be allowed, it would probably affect groups or areas.
* Room, Area, or World Emotes.
* Create or Summon their own special ents, maybe like cities can do with guards?
* The ability to change the weather in an area.
* Divine Curses or Blessings some area-level effect?
* Ability to create their own gates and portals?
* Ability to create their own rooms or areas without having to use a manse?
What's the general idea for what these beings can do?

I'm too lazy to check, but I think Estarra said that they wanted to steer away from individual combat powers, as opposed to outright saying no to them. As interested as I am in the mechanics I really wanna see how the first Ascendants (Vernal and True) roleplay it out. I mean, they really have no counterpart in Lusternia. What are they? What is their purpose? Why do we need them? Last night Murphy was saying how obviously they'd be a benefit for the city. I can certainly agree with that on an OOC level, the admins wouldn't stick in a new feature for one million power that isn't useful. At the same time, we DON'T know that IC.
It's also an interesting change when one thinks about Lusternia's story in general. It's called the "Age of Ascension" for a reason. But now that mortals can no longer transform into Gods directly, what does that mean? Is the Age of Ascension over? Is it just shifted in focus?
...Sorry, I tend to ramble.

Eldanien2007-10-19 19:02:30
Just before the announce, there was a world message that said something along the lines that Lusternia has entered the Age of Ascendants.
Given that there's a larger potential number of Ascendants than there were for Ascended Gods (nine plus one per org, versus nine), I don't see that this is a concern. No, they're not turning into actual Gods. But I can't imagine there are so many people who will stop trying simply because Ascendants are weaker than Ascended Gods.
If anything, being able to remain a player after achieving it is a huge bonus for most.
