Rogue Group forming

Before anyone bitches, I can't get access to any of the news rooms in the game (enemied everywhere), so I'm doing it here. Don't like it, tough, don't read it. And the rest is icly spoken from this point on.

Attention Everyone,

It seems the time has come for a slight altering of the way things are done. I little bit of difference to the normal monopoly that cities and communes hold over you. So as such, I'm starting a new organization, and with enough people I will make it an official clan.

Right now, the order of things is pretty weak, you either belong to a city or commune, ruled by individuals who aren't always making the best choices in your favor, or who simply are inept. Some try, and do a good job, don't get me wrong, but the majority of all decisions made in city and commune goverments is simply to the aims of it's leaders, corruption is evident in everything, and there is no way around it.

If you truly disagree, or wish to do your own thing, you're bound to laws and tenets that are delivered by some lofty god, some almost god-like Supernal or Demon Lord, or some type of super fae or force of nature. There are times when you will want to do things, want to approach certain avenues and find yourself bound, or feeling "wrong" for wanting to do such things, or worse yet, cast out of your collective and enemied...

Before now there was never a place for you, to be rogue was shunned upon, the divine see fit to force you into these collections of individuals, (cities or communes) so as there are things and conflicts they can control. I mean if you look around basin you'll see that darn near everything is designed along the lines of, "I do this, it helps my home, but hurts their home" type of deal. And really I have no problem with that exactly. But it's the IDEA that doing this X thing or that X thing then causes you to become unwanted, or enemied or whatever. You are all, whether you are the smallest circle one novice who just stepped out of the portal, or a demi-god, individuals, you're actions, should not be directed upon you by any ruling council, any collective of peer or superior ranked people. You shouldn't be guided by vague words and rhetoric of some semi-divine or divine being. You should be individuals.

For too long, in my 100 years on this basin, I've seen it happen, you're all being guided, whether you know it or not, by some linear passage through your lives. You're ingrained with sets of values that you don't have any choice whether or not to follow. It's just, do this, don't do that. And I think a time has come upon the basin that you throw off your oppressors and join an organization that only wants the one thing that any organization should ever ask from you. Honesty and Loyalty.

Honesty in both your spoken word and your actions, I don't care if you love or hate someone, you shouldn't lie simply to make things easier or indifferent. You should always be true, taking the easy road and conforming isn't the path to enlightenment, it's simply the path to slavery. Loyalty in watching each other's backs where others will not. Sure, a city or commune mate may come to your rescue if you're attacked, but I'm sure you've all witnessed the times when people won't. They will see who you face and instead of come to your aid, and save you, they will then question your actions, and wonder why you're fighting so and so from whatever organization. And the whole time, because they aren't being loyal and standing up for you, you're in peril, both metaphorically and physically.

Out of the hundreds of you who roam this basin, regardless of organization, I have maybe four people I would aid till the end of time, four friends I guess you could say, the rest I either don't know you well enough, or don't like you. My definition of loyalty is that no matter what or how many they faced in adversity I would lay down my life without a second thought as to things as trivial as circles, or learning, or enemying or any of that nonsense, cause I'm blindly loyal to my friends.

As I've said a thousand times, I make mistakes all the time, I do things that are sometimes rash, somethings stupid, sometimes unjust. But I haven't ever claimed perfection, quite the opposite.

But I do ask every single one of you, regardless of your skills, nature, city, mage, warrior, bard, monk, whatever. To look at yourself, if you're truly, honestly, happy with your current place, then stay, and go in peace, but if you find yourself scowling at the restraints and chains that are thrust upon you by any. Message me, write me a letter, or simply talk to me. We will start a change. Gods, for all their greatness and might, are not the rulers of our free-will, they can cause you physical pain, spiritual turmoil and many horrible things, as well as some very nice things. But I have yet to see a god ever jump to my aid in a fight, or assist me in a task as my true friends do.

As many of you have probably died a time or two, you've no doubt as I, seen many times the sisters of fate, they don't sever our threads like they do normally, because all of us, all of us individuals have so many possible futures that overlap each other and even the fates can't tell our future with any certainty. So if enough of us, throw off their "design" and make due living a hard, but ultimately, TRULY HONEST living here in the basin, our opportunities are endless!

I'm not asking you to trade one evil for another and take me as your leader, but I'm simply offering you a place and forum to be yourself. You don't have to do what I say, you don't have to worry about getting kicked out or abandoned. There will be no laws in this group, no restrictions, besides for what I mentioned above.

Honesty and Loyalty.

If you're honest and loyal with me and the rest who will come with us, I don't care who you like, I don't care who you hate, I don't care who you kill, I don't care what you hunt. So long as your honest and loyal to the whole.

So I ask you to look within yourself, and if you're truly, one hundred percent happy with your situation, then stay in your commune or city. But if you aren't, then let's talk, and together we can reshape this basin in a way that even the god's can't stop, because they don't control our free will.

Public news board. Unless you are an official enemy of the public. In which case you shouldn't bother posting at all.

Rogues as seen in our land of Lusternia is simply an outcast, or someone who doesn't belong to a guild or city or both.

People view it as a choice, they say, "If they don't want to be rogue, they could always just join a city or commune and guild" etc etc. But they can't if they don't want to conform to your way of doing things, otherwise nobody would ever "truly" leave a guild and there would never be "need" for one to ask permission to join, there would simply be a roster you sign up on.

Rogue is the name that has been branded upon us, as a play on words, the definition of rogue is someone who doesn't want to be organized, almost like an anti organizational individual, but the name doesn't always fit. If you don't want to join a guild, and don't want to join a city, then you're truly a rogue, a loner.

If you do, but simply don't like the politics or dancing you must do to get it accomplished, or the swallowing of the pride, I would simply call us freelance. And we have every right and opportunity to organize.

You know it would be easier to get unenemied to an organisation than resist every single one and hope vainly thet Gaudiguch and Halifax will ever be made (as we all know they won't be).

Also you could teleport to someone near a news room, as city guards typically don't hover there them and monolith sigils aren't everywhere.
Rika2007-10-20 09:23:42
If/When Gaudiguch and Hallifax do open, he'll end up saying the same things about those cities and getting himself enemied.

It's called a manse.

And just because you play an MMO and want to ignore the MM part of it, it doesn't mean everyone else should.

I offered to pay fines to everyone, they are just being chicken heads and not giving me the fines, so it's not my fault it's theirs. Give me a fine or something to pay or give to get unenemied and I would. But these people don't even name a price. As I said earlier, gold is simply a credit card swipe away and I could have gold to unenemy to everyone, but they aren't offering it.

What does that part about me asking where a news room without a guard is, have to do with taking the MM outta MMO?

And I'm not, I'm trying to change the system to take away power from a select group of players (Guild/City Leadership) and have a place where people can be their own man or woman without fear of city/guilddisfavours for looking at someone crooked.

So if 1 or 100 people join in and play the game with more freedom of choice and action, I'm happy with the change.

And the weird thing is I'm not enemied to Glomdoring, but I was getting nailed by their guards too, so it's gotta be some type of bug or my enemy list is too big.

If you're too damn anti-social to get along with anyone, then you should stick to single player games. I hear tetris and solitaire are good, although you might find the game itself ends up hating you too and giving you a bad string of blocks

Just one, I think. The entrance to Glomdoring that is nearest to Mag. biggrin.gif

I had fun there when Arvont was a newbie and took a wrong turn. Took me a while to figure out the cures biggrin.gif

Well, Asmoth, unlike it seems every other person here, I think what you're doing is fine. You see a problem in the dynamic of the game, where you feel there needs to be room for individualists in the world. No different from people who complain about lack of combat or whatever. only difference is, you have gone and created a solution. I think you should be congratulated for that, at least. I don't think that it will become particularly powerful, but it allows those who want to have that individualism. I think those that take your path should have it hard, yes, but I don't see anything wrong with trying to make it a little less hard on them, through your own endeavor. This is the point, ladies and gentlemen, that he has not moaned at the Admin for it, (well, he probably has, but thats beside the point), he has gone out and endeavored to create something. In my humble opinion, this is admirable
Unknown2007-10-20 13:40:14
This is not a new idea. But perhaps you will do better with it, I guess we will find out. huh.gif
