If you're too damn anti-social to get along with anyone, then you should stick to single player games. I hear tetris and solitaire are good, although you might find the game itself ends up hating you too and giving you a bad string of blocks

It does that to me sometimes.

And I'm nice to it! sad.gif

Anyhoo. I'm fairly certain other IRE games have this sort of thing from time to time. Someone gets upset with what he or she (usually he) sees either as the complete corruption or inadequacy of every formal city/commune/guild in the game, and says "hey, let's make a rogue group!"

Unfortunately, Asmoth's rhetoric tends to be quite abrasive, and may not attract overly many people. However, such a group is (usually) fairly harmless.

Certainly doesn't hurt anything for him to try and it seems a more positive focus of energy than some of the other things he's mentioned.

Do I need to poke my head out and spell doom for this guy out of personal experience? Yes? No? Okay then.

Asmoth, if you have access to Deepnight, they have a public newsroom. Or, if you have a manse and five hudred credits, there you go. It's ironic, but a group of rogues working togteher = an organization. You're bound by loyalty, i.e. rules. In the end it'll break up for similar reasons most of you left your orgs.

Edit: And I agree wtih Catarin, though. Despite what I said, hope this works out. It would be fun to see.

In all seriousness though, quite simply rogues are considered to be loners (no offense to those of you who aren't!)

But in all honestly, how do you expect rogues to join your 'organization' if they don't like organizations in the first place? confused.gif

And the weird thing is I'm not enemied to Glomdoring, but I was getting nailed by their guards too, so it's gotta be some type of bug or my enemy list is too big.

Or you're a personal enemy of someone who influenced the guards with seduction.

Well, Asmoth, unlike it seems every other person here, I think what you're doing is fine. You see a problem in the dynamic of the game, where you feel there needs to be room for individualists in the world. No different from people who complain about lack of combat or whatever. only difference is, you have gone and created a solution. I think you should be congratulated for that, at least. I don't think that it will become particularly powerful, but it allows those who want to have that individualism. I think those that take your path should have it hard, yes, but I don't see anything wrong with trying to make it a little less hard on them, through your own endeavor. This is the point, ladies and gentlemen, that he has not moaned at the Admin for it, (well, he probably has, but thats beside the point), he has gone out and endeavored to create something. In my humble opinion, this is admirable

It's not that it's a bad idea, it's that it's Asmoth running it.

Does anyone like Asmoth?

Why does he even post anymore if he's universally hated?
Xavius2007-10-20 23:19:30
This one might be amusing! I wonder if Asmoth has realized that he has to play nicely with this group if it's going to work. huh.gif

Point me to a room I can type news in without and ur'marshall, cavalier or centaur trying to kill me, and I'd be glad to.

Lol. Deepnight. Which, if you irritate me as much in-game as you do out of it, you will soon lose access to. At least I don't go around trying to make roleplaying a complete shift in how Lusternia works, on the forums (or anything else for that matter). It took three years, 126 rooms, several thousand credits, and nearly 100 people to attempt to start that.

If we stop replying to his threads, he will leave. That's not going to happen though, as I just replied in his thread.

Some people say one person will never make a difference. That's not true, it can happen. However, if that one person does everything wrong, and is universally disliked, -then- nothing will ever come of it.

Tacky red people. They'll never find a place of their own.

I will give you credit for trying to do something IC. Though using the forum kind of down plays that. Also...I kind of think what you are doing is rather...dumb. If you want to be a rogue then you shouldn't be trying to create an organization. I've thought of being a rogue hundreds of times though have yet to do it because it is such a pain. Though if I ever did decide to go through with it I wouldn't join any organization period. I would do what I could to remain on the good side of as many people as I could just so I can still have some ties to what I need. As others have stated...a rogue is a loner, simple as that. He does not tie himself to anything other then his friends and even then he would rather be on his own and doing what he can by himself. But hey whatever floats your boat I guess.
