Krokani's probably tankier than viscanti, though.

Krokani. You'll have better accuracy, resists, and most stats because viscanti suck. Blunt and magic resistances are nice. Krokani have a level 1 cutting weakness, which isn't all that much to begin with, but you've probably got fullplate.

go krokani, I did. Don't need to surge with it usually. Good dex and str (dex helps with your afflictions) and good con, magic resist lvl 3 owns bards too.

I was going somewhere with this, really. But I will say, Viscanti have way more style. Plus, you'd be mag racial aristocracy RP wise. As a Krokani, you're a big one eye'd dead guy.
