Does anyone have it? Too big to download, plus it looks good enough to buy. Just curious if it's just been terrible or FABULOUS.

I haven't bought it yet, but I can offer some info I got from a long topic about Witcher on Polish board.
I imagine you read some reviews so ask some more specific questions if you want.
In general, it's very good supposedly. Fabulous would probably be an overstatement (for example, facial expressions are poor I read, and there are few people who don't like the combat system). But opinions are very positive.

The preview in the biggest Polish video game magazine was extremely positive, but I am slightly sceptical. These guys are objective most of the time and their "patriotic syndrome" (giving high scores to Polish games when they don't deserve them) is practically nonexistant, but the Witcher is based on the books on a very popular Polish fantasy writer after all, and it may skew their points of view somewhat.
Phew, what a long sentence. But nevertheless, the game does not look bad and I am almost sure that it will be at least good. I have it ordered and I am looking forward to the arrival.
EDIT: I have no idea how the translation to English will be like. We all know that a bad translation can butcher an excellent media, but the Witcher books are somewhat popular in countries that aren't Poland so I assume their translations were not horrible. And if they could translate the books well, so they can the game.

Poles who played English version say dubbing is good. Still, some things will escape translation and it can't be helped really.
Polish reviews could be skewed (though I am not really convinced most of them are), but there are English reviews which say it's good, google it.
Anyway, some interesting things I gathered:
- you can get laid few times (you decide if it's good or not)
- you can get drunk. Actually, elixirs, which are very important part of witcher's arsenal, are at the same time poisonous (you have to learn how to concoct each of those first). So, they supposedly have side effects, one of which is, I think, getting drunk.
- the world is pretty much gray instead of black and white, there is often no clear right and wrong. Therefore, even though you have to pick a side in quests, you can't really rely on the usual moral background.
- choices you make affect later plot development, so even though you won't notice it now, it might come back to bite you later on. In other words, no quick save/load to see all the consequences.
- explicit dialogues and sexual content (at least in polish version), so it's only for more mature players (yeah, right).
lol
