Oh that reminds me...fix ghost. Either make it so you can walk over water or you aren't hobbling around with broken legs as a ghost. Ghosts don't have legs, they shouldn't hobble.
Ectoplasm should be free for 1 target. I like that idea. Keep it 2 power for groups though.

Your escape skill should have some hinderances if you want to use it. It's hard to chase a ghost. I think having afflictions stay is fine.

If this was allowed, you'd just be able to whore it until the person ran out of cleanse enchantments. It's fine as is.

Yep. That's the exactly the reason it got that restriction in the first place. Since you have to cure ectoplasm or you just die, people just wore others out of cleanse enchants. It was pretty silly.

But, I do think that the amount of nerfing done to this "escape" skill as you call it, has pretty much rendered this skill alot more useless as an escape skill as ever. People ghosting in deepflood demesne=no moving. When ghosted, distortion pulls them out of ghost form, and every single village is always distorted, since the power cost for it is so low. This makes ghost useless there. As for broken limbs while ghosted, that should be fixed, it seems like a bug.

You used to be able to go over water as a ghost, but that got changed so it's likely not to change back. But I would support the legs one. That sounds like a bug in any case since I imagine ghosts floating. You could try bugging it.

Almost useless? I have to chase around ghosts nearly every day when I PK, Ildaudid. It's not nearly useless - something like Spawn is almost useless.

I really don't see you chasing ghosts around, honestly. I do see you chasing reforming lich spirits around though. But I just can't picture you running around chasing ghosts. I mean even when you unghost, there is still a pretty long eq time, which makes them damn near dead anyways (unless they dropped the eq time, which I don't remember if that was done for reforming from a ghost).
edit- maybe if a ghost message was not seen in the look description of a room, they would be hard to get or track down, but you can see them in a room. Wonder what would happen for ghost if they removed that little line at the bottom :ponder:

You usually are not fighting when I am, Ildaudid, so I don't see why you can argue that I don't chase ghosts around. In the hour I was playing earlier, I chased Balizar around in ghost form. If it's such a useless skill, why is it used as much as I see it used on my end?

I am not arguing that you do not do it. I said (err well meant) I just can't see you doing it, as in picture you actually chasing down a ghost. My bad, since I didn't make it clear.

Yes and no, the question is which it strips and for how long.. 1 second loss of a balance isnt huge but it can be handy without being op based on tick.
As for other things:
-Ectoplasm will not be made free, I agree with everyone else.. it would just become spam
-Spawn is still kinda dumb and I would love for it to go redcap, then sleeplocks would be nicer
-Ghost should be able to move over water even slowly like
'The energies of natures blood slows your movement'
and yes they should ignore bleeding, broken limbs (which its kind of funny you can ghost like that), etc.

Ghost is useless. I don't know who you chase, but I never see people use it. I've ghosted and been chased across the Basin as a ghost, so I have no idea what you are talking about. It's a waste of a skill when you can just catacombs away or hermit and not have to worry about them chasing..unless they are a guardian as well.

Again I am going to have to agree with Forren here.
A while ago, before the ghost nerfs and when I was a Necromancer, the main thing about Necromancy, and I truly thought this, that the best skill in the set was not lich, but Ghost. And at the time it was awesome. It made the skillset to me. I missed ghost so much, when I went tracking. Later they nerfed it... blah blah blah.... but as Forren said, Warriors use it.
If you are fighting a Celestine, you will use it to avoid things like Inqui. If you are fighting a bard, you use it to avoid the damn 8 sec instakill. Especially when you are "bard lusted" and are having trouble leaving the room. Now in these situations it is still a damn near perfect skill. Even if you ghost in a fight on water, you are not using it as an escape in these instances as much as you are using it as a "shield" from these style of attacks. You just need to be tanky enough for when you reform, that you can withstand the punishment until you get your equil back.
So, as much as I don't like the ghost nerfs, I do agree here with Forren. This skill is one that is used alot by warriors, and still is a great skill. (I do think the broken limb thing is a bit much though)
